I lived in the Fort Christmas area for several years. I heard a story about the Oviedo Lights.
It went like this. A boy and girl were parked down by the bridge. They were both found the next day in the car and they were dead. They were embraced and they had expressions of horror etched on their lifeless faces.
It was rumored that they must have seen the mysterious Oviedo Lights.
So goes the legend.
I have another take on the Oviedo Lights.
I was involved in a cycle of UFO activity that happened in/around the Bithlo, Fort Christmas Road area.
One of the sighting, that I witnessed personally, and on a number of occasions. I saw a small disk approximately 3' in diameter. It emitted a flashing blue light. I also had witnesses who also got to see this strange object.
Anyway. I was doing research at the Orlando Sentinel and I came across an article.
According to a carload of kids, they were headed to oviedo and had just passed the bridge when a blue light pursued their car. They freaked out and I belive ran off the road in an attempt to elude the persistent light.
I suppose there are other explanations, but I made a connection when I read the article.

My friends and I went there once, and found nothing. I did get that kind of eerie feeling about the place but that might have just been my imagination. I'm not sure if we went to the right place or not, but we saw nothing. :/

In December of 1977 I was living outside of Oviedo.
A girl that I met took me to this haunted bridge.
We sat on this bridge in her `65 Mustang sometime around midnight. As I remember we must have sat there about 20 minutes almost ready to give up and head back home. When this single almost bone colored light came from behind us. She started the car and took off spinning the tires, shifting gears, I was looking back the whole time. The light kept comming at us faster and faster I looked at the speedometer which read 90 M.P.H. Then as quickly as the light appeared it dissappeared.
I don`t really rember the whole story she told me about the bridge but she did call it Oviedo Lights.

back when i was a teen, i to was told about the lights. two of my freinds and i went to the bridge on several differnt occasions and seen the lights, it was close to midnight we were parked on the east side of the bridge, just off the bridge on the north side of the road we sat in the car for a while and suddenly an amber light appeard on the far western part of the road almost down were the road ends, my freind mark started his car (a yellow 7o's model mustang fast back)
and started driving towards the light in the center of the road(know that i look back on this it was a very stupid thing to do)we were not sure if it was another vehicle but at that age we did not think! anyway as we were moving toward the light the light became in an instant very large and appeard to be upon us, then suddenly as it appeard it dissapeard. my freind mark looked in his rear veiw mirror and said holy **** it's behind us i turned around and saw the light behind us coming towars us at a very high rate of speed, mark turned the car around and again started to drive towards it but this time he shut the engine off and we rolled down the windows and listend, there were no sounds like a motocycle chain rattleing or car sounds.i am a firm beleiver of these lights and had seen them on several occasions.the only explanation i could give was when we first started towards the light heading west at the end of the road there is a black and yellow barracade at the end of the road,as cars and trucks approached this from the main road(not sure of the name) from oveido the closer they got to this barracade the brighter the reflection of the sign.so it would appear that the light was growing.but i feel that i am wrong because the light had appeard in our rear veiw mirror suddenly. the is a weird place an hope to go back soon. it has been almost 20 years since i had been their i am 41 years old now na dsi still beleive what i saw as if it was yesterday.the story i heard was that a boy and a girl were coming home from a dance when he ran out of gas on or near the bridge, he left the girl to to go get fuel or help seveal hours past and the girl got worried and when she got out of the car to call for him she found his dissmemberd head on the hood, and the light is the boy's spirt looking for who murderd him and if the light comes to that person he would repay them. i am not sure if this is true but something is out their.

This past Saturday (8/24/02), me and my group of ghost hunting friends decided to head out to the bridge in Oviedo where the mysterious Oviedo lights have been said to appear. It was shortly after midnight when we crossed the bridge. There were an unusual amount of cars on the road that night, so we didn't stop, and of course we saw nothing.
The bridge is on Snowhill Road in Oviedo. If you start at Brumley Road, and make a right onto Snowhill, the bridge is about 5 miles down from there.
If anyone is interested in going, drop me a line, and let me know. I'm also opening up a chapter of the Ghost Hunting group I started in NJ. If anyone is interested in joining, let me know as well.
Be Well,
Chris

I just recently went out there myself, didn't see anything, but definitely got that strange feeling when I was approaching the bridge. I'd like to return sometime, though. I got there from E. Orlando area by taking Chuluota Rd from SR50, then turning right onto Snowhill (there's construction in the area where Snowhill turns off). One thing I did notice though, was after the first bend on Snowhill but before Ave.H intersects, there was a dense patch of fog covering the road for about 1/8 mile. When I came back 20 mins later, it was gone, not a trace.

Me and my friends went there 10/19/20 and on there way there we saw nothing then we turned around and let two cars pass us, we thought we saw a car behind as we were going over the bridge the cars light turned into one light then into two lights then they would intertwind. And it was catching up fast so my friend was gettin freaked out so we hit the gas and we were going 120mph and the light was still gaining on us and then it disappeared then it came back doing the the light blinking again and we stoped the car and nothing came up behind us and the wierd things is we were going really fast and we would have caught up to those two cars ahead of us but they dissapeared to but me and my friends are going up there tonight and were going to get off at the bridge and look around .......were going around 10 so if anyone wants meet us up there.

Interesting how those lights seem to be selective. Jen and I went to the bridge Sunday night and bumped into Mark who had just arrived there. We walked all over the bridge, around it and under it. Mark got some great digital shots of some ghost orbs, I caught some glipmses of them myself. None were very big except for one up on the bridge, but it wasn't shining bright. We must have hung around there for about two hours. Nothing chased us, though. County sheriff stopped by to see what was up, and he drove his cruiser down around the sides of the bridge with the searchlight going. Would have been kinda comical to see him get chased!
