I am trying to put together a list of haunted sites in the state of Florida. Please list any that you know of, and please include anything you know of the type of activity. Thanks in advance.

I read that there is a ghost haunting a restaurant in Melbourne Fl. I read this at "theshadowlands.net" in their haunted places section. I have not been there yet myself, but hope to be in the near future. The name of the place is Miguel & it is near the south east corner of the intersection of Babcock St & New Haven Ave (192).

Ashley's Restaraunt, Rockledge FL

Ashley's is probably one of the most famous allegedly haunted places in FL. It's been featured in the National Ghostly Register and a television show about the paranormal. I also have an article about the strange experiences of a professional paranormal research group that went there.

It's an old tudor-style two story cottage on US1, right across the street from Wuestoff hospital, directly in front of a railroad track. It looks very out-of-place in an otherwise modern area.

From my readings I've gleaned it dates back to the 1920's. It's been used as a house, a train depot, and now a very busy restaraunt and bar. Tragic events have happened there.

I remember coming across an unconfirmed story that an axe murder took place when a husband found his wife upstairs in bed with another man, and he murdered either her or the lover with an axe and dragged the body down one of the old narrow staircases.

I know for sure that a little girl who was mentally impaired got hit by a car on US1 right in front of the building, in the past couple decades, and her spirit is said to haunt the place.

In the 80's someone from FL Today newspaper did a story about the place and captured an alleged photo of a 'ghostly waiter'. Frankly, that one looks faked to me, it's just too clear and detailed (unlike the 'ghost' photos I find more credible, which don't look like distinct persons but orbs of light moving fast or 'plasma' photos)

The ladies restroom is said to be haunted by the ghost of a woman in 1920's garb, she's known as the Powder Room Ghost in the National Ghostly Register.

I've been in there myself, and had an odd experience although I don't rule out a logical explaination. The bathroom stall on the left has a small window that latches with a sliding bolt, it looks old and probably dates to the time the place was built. People have reported this window flying open with no apparent cause, then they latch it again, and it pops open.

This happened to me and I latched it about twice, made sure it was secure and that no natural force could open it, and it kept popping open. This freaked me out.

I've talked with people who work there who have claimed that especially after closing time, odd things happen, such as objects flying off walls and tables. Alleged 'psychics' such as Sibyl Leek have also reported such phenomena, even as violent as chairs levitating and crashing to the floor.

The restaraunt has several photos on the wall taken by patrons which ended up showing strange 'plasma' lights that look like smoke swirls (although it's confirmed it isn't smoke, and from the looks of it could not possibly be) or light moving very fast, but this only showed up when the pictures were developed.

I must admit, I'm a hardcore skeptic looking for solid proof. I think I recently got what I was looking for when I went to the restaraunt with a couple of friends on Halloween night with a disposable Kodak camera.

I took a picture of the wooden staircase by the bar that leads up to the second-floor dining area. When I got the developed pictures back the other day, I was stunned to find the smoke-like 'plasma' stuff all over the picture. It couldn't have been a film developing error, or smoke.

Another couple of photos taken of me and my friends sitting in a corner booth by the bar show some odd blurry patches right over faces, but the rest of the photo is crystal clear. I don't know if this could be a film glitch, I really want to find out.

I'm having the picture scanned very soon and if anyone would like to take a look at it just give me your email addy and send it to MysticAsylum@cs.com.

I'd like to have someone who knows a lot about photography, shutter speeds, the way light moves, etc. to take a look at these and tell me what they think, I am still seeking a logical explaination.

Sorry this post was so long, I wanted to give a thourough backround of the place. I reccomend anyone interested in 'phenomena' visit, and the food is also excellent.

I have heard that the Old Zuma Beach (Downtown Orlando now TABU) night club was haunted by a woman dressed in black that haunted the stage area. Also I have heard stories of the Old Globe, Harold and Maudes, Kit Kat Club area of Wall Street (Downtown Orlando) was haunted in one of the upstairs bathrooms. Many places in St. Augustine are haunted and I am an Eyewitness. Especially Catalina's Gardens now Harry's Seafood Bar and Grill
