Kids talk about parents or family with Cardiomyopathy and chf
This forum is so that kids can talk to other kids about family or parents with Cardiomyopathy and chf.It's here so that kids know that they are not alone but that there is others out there with the same problems.
Ok, what happaned to the heart and women's board? this is the only one I can find this morning? everything else has been deleted by owner? what's up with that?

On 11-14-2001 I had my second child a girl. The day after I had a Tubal Liagation done because I didn't want to have anymore children.On Thanks Giving evening I started feeling chest pain, dizzy,cold hands and feet,tired,and started having panic attacks.I didn't know what was going on with me so I called 911.After the medical team took me to the Hospital I still kept having panic attaks so they gave me some Adivan to calm me down.They ran an EKG on me then they let me go and told me to make an appointment with my regular Doctor.So that's what I did!I went to my appointment and my blood pressure was very high and was still having panic attacks.I couldn't sleep at night either.So my Doctor told me that I have to see a Cardialogist for furthur testing. The Cardiologist ordered a Holter moniter and a Echocardiogram of my heart.The results from the Holter Monitor were fine but the results from the Echocardiogram showed that my heart was enlarged so my blood flow was very limited only 30% of my blood was running throughout my arteries.Then they told me that I had cardiomyopathy. I really didn't understand what was going on with me. Thank god I had my mom with me. Now I am 27 years old and still have cardiomyopathy but it's under control with medications.For the past 6 years I've had an Echocardiogram done every year.I just hope it doesn't get worse.I hope that with this information I can help someone else.

im glad u got the help that you needed. my mom has cardiomyopathy and she is the one who started and runs this site. if u need ne info or jus some one to talk to email me or leave a message and i will get back 2 u as soon as possible.

Hi my name is Scott and my dad has CHF. He has to change his diet and retire early but he was self employed so thats not so bad and he needed the diet change in the first place. We,re helping with research on CHF so it's really not that bad.

Hello, im not a kid either...actually 24 but i have cardiomyopathy.....congestive heart failure and blood clots....was just looking for someone my own age to talk to ....most people are a lot older.....

I am not a teen or a kid but I am a 24 year old that have an ICD. I got it ever since I was 21. I also have cardiomyopathy. Hope to get to know few others here. Write Back Soon,

hi there my name is amy and i am 25yrs old i was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy at the age of 22 i had a heart transplant on the 22/03/2003 would love to chat and get to know other people out there please writ back

Glad to see the "ole" board up and running! I didnd realize there were so many ppl using it!! Any kids/teens wanting info on transplants and stuff Ryan said he would add his 2 cents
