I don't know what nationality Lawrence Welk was, but he was European-- and spoke a broken English that an American might identify as German or Norweigian.
At the end of a well-played orchestral performance on his Saturday night shows, he would utter, "Wunnerful, wunnerful".
Your quote in German is right ON. You've got it-- thankfully. Whew! I couldn't have said it better myself. And creating value HERE in THIS forum RATHER than arguing elsewhere is ANOTHER wonderful way to state the case.
There's another wonderful quote that I find useful: "If it is to be, it's up to me". In other words, to create value in this forum will require YOUR dedication and perseverence. I'll certainly be here to answer questions and so on but for the most part, this is YOUR baby.
I'll be looking forward to seeing your daily LINK to this forum and your little description as to what's new here.
I have a friend in cryonics who has told me that "persuasion" doesn't work. I keep telling him that that's not true-- that human beings CAN often be open to reason AND persuasion. I'm glad that I've been able to persuade you to try it my way for 30 days, if only to be able to tell my friend that this is PROOF that persuasion DOES work-- sometimes. Thanks. And good luck.
Oh, by the way-- I WILL be dropping by here to argue AGAINST disinternment and freezing as antying related to cryonics-- and if you like contentious debate, well-- you'll have me to debate on that one. But then, that's one of the purposes of this forum, right?
Okay, good luck. In Norweigian, how do you say?
(Trygve's comment: In Norwegian we would say "Lykke til!", "tvi tvi" or "skitt fiske", the latter is more used when you go fishing.)
