  • In2TV's been shut down?!? WTF!?

OK, a few months ago, I complained that In2TV had been suffering from some strange glitch that caused their episodes to stop playing before they were supposed to. And apparently, some time after I made that complaint, someone listened and fixed the glitches. So it now looked like we (at least those of us with computers that In2TV worked perfectly on) could easily enjoy watching "Histeria!" on In2TV again.

Or not. The other day, I paid a visit to In2TV's front page and found this message:

Love Classic TV? So do we.
That's why we're taking this time to improve your experience watching classic shows on AOL Television. We'll be back soon, so stay tuned. In the meantime, watch hit shows like "CSI", "Heroes", "The Daily Show", and more for free.

SON OF A *ITCH!!!! After nearly three years of providing an output to run the shows that they own that they apparently didn't have room for on regular television, why on Earth has Warner Bros. suddenly decided to shut down In2TV!? Because of this boneheaded decision, now us "Histeria!" fans have absolutely no way of being able to watch the show!

And believe me, this wouldn't be such a problem if Warner Bros. would just hurry up and release the show on DVD already, or at least provide us with some other way of making "Histeria!" available for viewing, such as on XBox 360, Amazon.com's Video on Demand thing, or KidsWB.com. Or maybe even actually bring the reruns to Cartoon Network where they should've gone the moment Kids' WB! dropped the show! (And they can clearly do that even now, since Cartoon Network was willing to run a "Looney Tunes" marathon on New Year's Day.) Instead, though, "Histeria!" is now stuck being added to this list of shows that simply can't be seen through anything but means of questionable legality. Folks, I am now willing to say yes to anyone who offers to transfer all the "Histeria!" episodes they've recorded onto DVD (with any Kids' WB! promos you may have, if possible) and send them to me. Is there anyone who's willing to do this?

And don't bother to point out that the site's saying that it's gonna come back soon; it's an obvious lie. I know this from past experience. A Disney website I frequently visited in the early 2000s was replaced with a "Under Construction" page claiming that it would be coming back in April 2004. The specified month came, but the website never came back up. And this probably isn't the only instance of this happening; that is why it's obvious to me that In2TV's not coming back. And even if it does, how much do you want to bet that "Histeria!" will be removed from the list of shows they have? After all, "Animaniacs" and "Freakazoid!" haven't been there since they disappeared from the site in late 2006 (though it didn't really matter as much, since at least they have DVDs for us to buy, albeit with their final volumes being strangely put on hold), and so many other shows (particularly the Hanna-Barbera library, despite there already being Boomerang and DVDs for that) have joined In2TV since then that I fear deeply that one day "Histeria!" will be dropped from In2TV just as its Spielberg-produced predecessors were.

And that, friends, is my newest reason to be upset with Warner Bros. right now. This idiotic decision, coupled with the fact that they're willing to release DVD sets of shows that no one in their right mind would want to own (*coughLoonaticsUnleashedcough*), has peeved me off so much, I'd like to bomb their headquarters right now. They've messed with the wrong fan.
