Good & bad news about FF.net so please do read.

June 28 2002 at 9:38 PM

from IP address 66.19.184.122

Good news: The site's back on and once again they're working hard to get the place going good.

Bad news: Just about all the reviews are gone. So now you'll probably have to go re-review the stories you've reviewed in the past. Well you could take this chance to hopefully write better reviews just in case the ones you remember weren't all that good.

So the site is back on, but now you'll probably have to go back and re-review the ones you've reviewed in the past.

(P.S: I have seen "Hey Arnold! The Movie" and it was by all means good.)

News and questions

June 29 2002, 9:13 AM

Good news: The reviews are back, so we don't have to worry about re-reviewing stuff.

Bad news: The chapter thing (that allows you to go to different chapters in the stories) is gone. So we may have to wait a while for them to come back.

I got some questions...

1.Do you liked South Park?

2.Do you do profiles? Of all the time I seen you on the board, you never once did a profile.

Anyway, the reasons for those questions is I got some profiles requests. Can you make remaining profiles of the South Park characters, like Mr. Mackey, Randy and Sharon Marsh, Mayor McDaniels, etc? (Make you sure you stopped after the 98 response, because the 99 one will be me asking robert for a special request for the big 1-0-0)

Got to go! Bye!

1. That's great!

2. I do hope they fixed it up soon too.

(Now for the answers to your questions)

1. Well yes, but I'm no fan. To me its a decent show with some good funny moments but over than that I'm no fan, sorry.

2. I've read them but to be honest I never had intended to do any myself before. And while I can't do profiles for the characters you requested but I MIGHT do one or few in the future.

Now I have a question for you.

1. How do you feel about them completely removing MST3K from FF.net? I apologize if you already answered and I didn't remember but I wanted to know. Heck I felt like completely ignoring FF.net for good at the time, though I guess one of the reasons why is that Histeria fanfiction won't have much of a place to go aside from Toonzone. What did you feel about what they did to MST3K fanfiction? If you prefer not to tell then I understand.

Those no-good son of a *******! I want to kick their butts! Because of abuse?! What the heck is their frigging problems?! Okay, I am calm down now.

BTW, I am inviting some members of the H! cast to the Anime Survivor hotel for a while. I hope you guys don't mind. (And if you want to know, my guests are Loud, Charity, Toast, Pule, Froggo, and Stalin. And if you want to know why, read my MHT3K stories for the reason why).

Here I am again

June 29 2002, 1:47 PM

First, I'd like to say hello to you guys again and say I had a fun week at the shore, though basically the vaca was filled with walking, either on the boardwalk or on the beach. Oh, and I saw Spielburg's new movie too, which to my surprise didn't wow me as it wowed other critics.

Second, in addition to all those ff.net problems I was not happy to hear about at all, the document manager where you have to upload stories before you post them is down. That only effects me since apperantly all the SpongeBob stuff I uploaded the day I left didn't go through, but it's still something to mention as a sign of that site's problems. Which, again, is not something I was happy to hear about after a week away, though all of this happened yesterday. And the chapter section still doesn't work either so that means most of my work is unavailable on there.

Welcome back, robert old pal!

June 29 2002, 2:28 PM

Things been boring while you were away. Well, almost.

For the fan-fiction problems, I think chapter thing would work again. Just give those FanFiction.net owners some time.

By the way, if you have noticed, the profiles topic has 92 responses while you were gone. Why don't we give it the big 1-0-0! I got some profiles I want to see there.

1.The Warners
2.The Big Guy and Dr. Shale from the Circle
3.The students from Tiny Toons Adventures
4.Some stars from Looney Tunes
5.Skippy Squirrel
6.Mr. Director
7.The Voice Director from "Loud's Histerical Wish"

If you can do this, can you stop after the 98 response? I got a request I want to put up in the 99 one for a special profile in the 100th response.

Anyway, welcome back robert!

Thank you old friend

June 30 2002, 9:25 AM

I have already pushed the toal to 94 with profiles on the Warners and Mr Director, so we're on our way to your surprise. And if things weren't boring while I was gone, they were less busy, so at least I'm here to fix that.
Oh, and the chapters section as well as ff.net's document manager have been fixed, so I'm feeling better on that issue.

June 30 2002, 2:36 PM

If you don't want to OR if you want me to do something for you. Then I understand so please do mention it.

More anger inducing news from ff.net

June 30 2002, 8:16 PM

I would forfill your request but I went to ff.net a second ago and got this message.

FanFiction.Net Announcement : 6-30-2002
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The latest round of down times has signalled a problem that is much more serious than first thought. We are working around the clock to resolve a list of issues.

Starting on Monday night we will reactivate the site in a read-only mode. In a read-only mode, users will not be able to submit reviews, edit content, and/or login to their profiles.

Hardware upgrades are on their way but will not arrive until mid to late next week. Based on the information we currently have, the site should return to normal operation within 2 weeks. In the meantime, read-only access will be provided.

We understand the frustration that many of you are feeling and ask everyone to be patient as we are working as fast as humanly possible.

Xing
FanFiction.Net Admin/Founder

So just when it looks like the problem is fixed it gets worse. Naturally it happens just as I finally post my SpongeBob stuff[which I thought I took care of before I left] and now it can't be reviewed. I have the worst luck. Plus no one can send or edit anything for 2 weeks either, which was the same problem we had when this whole mess started. Ah, such is life.

BTW, as for the two animated movies mentioned, Hey Arnold did lousy box office business this weekend with $6 million bucks to place in 6'th in the numbers, which means it will likely be the first bomb from Nick animated studios. But a Wild Thornberrys movie will premire in the fall and since Klasky Cuspo made it, naturally it'll be a big hit which should make Nick feel better.[They've also got a Rugrat's Thornberries crossover flick for next year which should also draw in the green]Oh, and Lilo and Stitch came in second to Adam Sandler's new movie, finishing with $22.2 million, and $77.8 overall. Well, at the very least, one regular 2D animated movie is a hit for the first time in what seems like ages, so that's something to be happy for[it's certainly the first non Pixar hit for Disney in a while]Perhaps the Powerpuff Girls movie will be number 2 this week, although MIB II might have something to say about that.

Thats a dire shame...

June 30 2002, 9:33 PM

Geez, at this rate we may not even HAVE a site for me to potentially worry about leaving. Well heres an idea why not either at monday night or later why don't you read the story THEN you can tell about it here. (And if you prefer not to wait tomorrow night then you can read the "special edition" on AL's fanfic section, then come back and tell me about it.)

And as for "Hey Arnold: The Movie"'s BO failure all I can say is...figures. The first time Nick makes a movie that is NOT CGI or made by Klasky-Csupo it goes down. Now nick will probably be too scared to make any more movies that AREN'T from K-C or CGI. (True I'm not against K-C or CGI, but it is sad to see them use CGI and Klasky-Csupo as crutches isn't it?). Hey Arnold may've no longer been one of Nick's most popular shows (at least it isn't getting the "worn out has-been" reputation as Rugrats) now they'll probably be WAY too scared to give shows like Spongebob Squarepants a chance. (And we all know that Zim isn't going to get one anyways sadly, and the less said about that the better).

However it is good news that Lilo & Stitch is going good. (Especially since after that Micheal Eisner was pretty confident that it was going to fail, but hey he hasn't exactly been on his "smartest behavior" lately.) And as much as I like Pixar it is good to see a non-CGI film go good. Oh well...at least we get some light in this moody situation here.

A few things to say...

July 1 2002, 8:05 AM

Hey Arnold, a failure? Maybe so, but I am not going by anyone's opinions until I seen the movie myself. Believe me.

I am surprised you liked the Lilo & Stitch despise the fact it is made by Disney. What would the Warners say about that?

If robert is reading, let me know when you updated the profiles so we can get to the big 1-0-0.

Does anyone know how I can sent fan-fictions to Animated Lust?

Well, thanks for listening.

Re: A few things to say...

July 1 2002, 9:38 AM

JusSonice: Here's the address where they tell you how to send fics to AL http://www.dragonfare.net/AL/fanfic.html And I updated the profiles bringing the toal up to 96.

Pokejedservo: Have you been reading my mind about the whole Nick thing? Well, it is sad that your theory may come true, since after all they are all too obsessed with Klasky Cuspo stuff[and I dread the day when Rocket Power gets their own movie, I really do] But, perhaps they're not too forgetful of other products as it is almost a done deal to give SpongeBob his own movie in 2004, which is why creator Stephen Hillenburg isn't going to make many more new TV episodes of it until then. No word on possible other big screen Nick flicks though, although a Zim one, while incredibily unlikely except for maybe a "Nick flick" on TV, would look great on the big screen.
Oh, and I'll look at the AL version of THPS later on.

Thanks for the profiles, robert...

July 1 2002, 11:48 AM

Only two more responses and I will get to my special response in the 99 for the 100. (You get the idea) Speaking of profiles, we hadn't updated the historical characters profiles for quite a while. How about we get to that? I got suggestions for the historical characters I want to see there right here.

1.Franklin D. Roosevelt (Another man with two voices. Sounds familiar?)
2.Leonardo DaVinci (That reminds me, did we did Father Guido Sarducci yet? If not, I hope someone do one since I hadn't seen the episodes with Don Novello in them)
3.Saddam Hussein
4.Richard M. Nixon (By the way robert, Nixon is voiced by Jeff Glen Bennett, not Frank Welker. Got that?)
5.Mark Twain
6.The Raven (does he count as a historical character?)
7.Plato
8.Socrates
9.Aristotle
10.Basho
11.William Shakespeare
12.Charles Dickens
13.Emily Dickinson
14.Sappho
15.Florence Nightingale
16.Napoleon Bonaparte
17.Rene DesCartess
18.Vladimir Lenin
19.Thomas Edison
20.Attila the Hun
21.Ernest Hemingway
22.Orville & Wilbur Wright
23.Bill & Hillary Clinton
24.Thomas Jefferson
25.King George III
26.Leon Trotsky
27.Julis Caesar
28.Marc Anthony
29.Molly Pitcher
30.Eric the Red
31.Ludwig Von Beethoven
32.Montezuma
33.General Custer

Also, if any of them appeared on Time Squad, can you mentioned that also?

Say, we didn't do the one on the Eagle yet. So add that too. Looks like robert became our profiler here (although me and R6 did some), but then again he is good at this stuff than we do. Well got to go.

Only two more days until the Powerpuff Girls movie. Yay!

You guys sure are a creative bunch! Cool! By the way, who is R6? I've seen sparse mention of this person, but little of them.

Whom is R6?

July 14 2002, 10:54 AM

Why he is known other than THE Philadelphian Histeria fan whom is the man for Lydia Karioke, an "Ed, Ed 'n Eddy" fan and is known as one of the most flamboyantly perverted ones here. (Aside from me of course )

And if you think this site is a great showing of our talents check out FF.net's Histeria section where you can review the stories we've made. (And then some...)

Uh... forgive my wretched family...

July 14 2002, 11:57 PM

That was one of my cousins (here for the weekend) that must have posted that, they're from DC. Hopefully, when I pop down there next month, they'll behave.

And you can return your eyes back to your head, R6 is here, so have no fear. Or, maybe you should...
