Chapter 5: The Mysterious Figure
Somewhere in the dark pits of the underworld itself, June and Chris's attacker stood straight as his master, a figure in the shadows, spoke to him.
"You disappointed me." said the master disappointed.
"I'm so sorry, my master. I should be punished." said the attacker, getting ready for his punishment.
"Not yet. After all, that is only your first match against the Te Xuan Ze and her new...beau." said the figure with a smirk. "It seems to me that they are stronger when they're together. Take them on separately and they will all fall eventually."
"I see. You want me to deal with the enemies separately?" asked the attacker.
"Yes. And go. Oh, and before you leave, I want you to take them with you."
The master chuckled as he glances at somethings growling in the darkness.

Later after school was over, June and Chris discussed their plan.
"I think we should go talked to Ah Mah. Hopefully, she may know what this guy is all about." June told her boyfriend as they get their bikes.
"Well, I think I should do my own investigation for a while." Chris explained taking his bike off the rack.
"What? But we should do this together in case that boy attacked again!" June protested.
"I can handled myself. My fire casting will keep me safe, I promised."
"Chris." June said sadly as he begins to hugged Chris. She doesn't want to lose the boy she loves. Not when they just got together.
Chris chuckled and looks at June in the eyes. "Don't worry. I can take care of myself. Now promise me you'd be safe."
"Okay, I will." June said with a sad smile.
"And one more thing..." Chris then kissed June deeply on the lips. June kissed her back, the two hugging each other as usual. The two parted reluctantly as Chris continued, "Good luck."
June chuckled as Chris gets on his bike and pedaled off. "I think we need to do that every time we begin a fight or do something very big."

"Ah Mah, are you home?" June asked as she walks into her grandmother's home later that night.
"Ah, June. Come on in." called Ah Mah. June walked into the library where Ah Mah and Monroe, the assistant to the Te Xuan Ze who is her pet, were at. June sees Monroe looking through a bunch of books.
"What are you guys doing?" June asked curiously.
Monroe looked up and frown. "Dealing with the latest problem at hand."
"Problem? What do you mean "problem?" June asked with a frown.
"After hearing you get beat by a mysterious attacker, it is a cause for concern." Monroe explained.
"I think he got a point. June, can you tell me anything that could be of use to us?" Ah Mah asked.
"Well, Chris found out that he's well connected with a lot of the big guys in the underworld. And you know what? Chris mentioned that this guy is supposed to have some kind of connection to the Te Xuan Ze." June frowns. "Ah Mah, did you or any of the previous Te Xuan Zes know who this creep is?"
Ah Mah then got worried. "Describe your attacker."
"Well, he wears a green T-Shirt with a Bugs Bunny picture on it, blue jeans, black sneakers, and he wears some sort of black mask over his face." explained June.
"Anything else?"
"Well, when he first attacked me and Chris, he said my name like he knew me!"
Ah Mah's eyes widen in horror. She sat in a chair slowly. "Oh no."
"Ah Mah?" June asked surprised.
"Jasmine, are you alright?" Monroe asked in concern.
Ah Mah looks at June and Monroe and spoke eerily. "I think I know who that attacker is."
"Who? What is his name?" June asked.
Ah Mah groans and continues. "Let me say what I can of him. He is someone well connected to me, you, and the previously Te Xuan Zes." Ah Mah paused, then continued. "His name...is Dende."
"Dende?"
"He is a well-known assassin throughout the magical world. He works for the big guys, mostly the evil types, in the underworld. Anyone who gets in his way, is dead." Ah Mah explained.
"Aye. An assassin is usually the last person to be messing with." Monroe agrees.
June looks nervously. "I don't understand it. Is he a human or a magical creature?"
Ah Mah explains, "Both. He was originally a human from the beginning, but became empowered with magic, but the wrong kind of magic."
"But what does he want from me? How did he know me?" June asked. The question has been on her mind ever since she met the boy. The boy somehow knew her but once again, her mind search ends up with a sharp pain.
"June...he's..."
Outside Ah Mah's house, if anyone were nearby, they would have a heard a big scream from June.
"WHAT?" yelled June in shock.

"Can you see anything Haku?"
Haku the dragon looked down from the air carefully. Haku is a white dragon with green hair and red eyes. Haku is a good friend of Chris ever since he first saw him years ago. Haku is also another way of transportation so he could see things from the sky more easily.
"I don't think so. It looks like whoever our 'friend' is has yet to show himself." Haku explained.
"I see. Well, I'd do a ground search while you continued from the air." Chris announced.
"Very well." Then Haku smiles. "I heard you got together with the Te Xuan Ze. Congratulations. I knew you would eventually. Sounds like a good combination. Chris Field and Juniper Lee. Mrs. Chris Field sounds like a good name for a future wife."
Chris blushes. "Well, just landed, Haku, okay?"
Haku chuckled then did so. Chris got off of Haku. The dragon then flew off into the night sky. Chris smiles as he continues his search.
"Me and June. I was hoping someday that would happened." Chris said with a smile. "And it did. Mrs. Chris Field. Now that's a day I hope would also happened."
Chris, as he searches, begins to daydream about himself and June. Daydreaming about their future lives together, battling evil, and raising a family. He loves June so much that he wanted to hold her and not let go. Breathing on her neck, her soft skin when he touches it...it was everything he wanted, to be with the girl he loved and who loved him back. Maybe someday...
"I don't think it's wise to day dreamed on the job, fire-caster."
Chris snaps back to reality and turned. On a rock nearby sit Dende, name still unknown to Chris, himself.
"Oh figure you'd show up eventually." Chris said, narrowing his eyes.
"So where's your girlfriend?" asked Dende as he looks around. "Did you two split up?"
"Oh shut up. How do you even know her anyway? We have never met you for now." Chris snapped.
"We have known each other for a long time. She just forgotten, that's all."
"How long? Who are you?"
"Why don't you fight and asked me yourself?" asked Dende with a smile.
"All right. I will."
Dende smirks. Chris stood in fighting position, expecting Dende to make the first move. But to his surprise, he nods as if signaling something.
Suddenly some snarling is heard and before Chris knew it, 5 strange evil creatures came out of the shadows. They resembles tall pale men covered with off-white, blood-soaked robes that each resembles a butcher's smock. Their most outstanding feature is a large, pyramid helmet, covering their heads completely. They are armed armed, either with either huge knives or big crazy spears.
"What is this?" Chris asked.
"When I said fight and asked me, I meant for you to fight the Pyramid Heads and try to asked me during your fight." Dende said evilly. The Pyramid Heads snarled and approached Chris who looks on.
"This can't be any good." Chris said concerned.

Now that Dende's name is revealed, it appears he is intending on making Chris his first victim via the Pyramid Heads! But who is he and why is June is shocked by what Ah Mah just told her? And will Chris survived the Pyramid Heads? Find out more next time!
