So I need an outstanding MP3 player for running.

Necessities:

-Flash player so it doesn't skip

-512 MB sounds perfect for a few hours of music

-Compatible with a reliable arm band so it doesn't fall

-Waterproof, unless the arm band will protect it from the weather and sweat

-Runs on some type of user-replaceable battery -- I'm not paying $60 for the dealer to replace the battery for me

-Quick and easy to plug-in and add/change songs

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I am using a Korean made Kiss KS300GK - it is 512 mb and having used it for nearly a year it seems robust and durable.

It never came with an arm band case, so I bouth a case logic arm band pouch, seesm to do the job.

Also the kiss uses AA bateries, which is much better than the USB charging ones.

I bought an RCA 2000 (512 Mg) which has an expansion slot for SD cards, I purchased a 1.0 Gb card and it's just great. very simple to use, ran the Dallas Marathon with it no problems.
RCA Lyra line has plenty of straight foward no nonsense players that are small with arm bands ideal for running. The only thing I don't like is you can not play songs randomly only in sequence, so every so often I arrange by file size, artist, genre etc.. to change the routine.

Happy running.
