Hi there
I’m an assistant producer at betty tv, the London based independent television company. We are currently making a sensitive and intelligent observational film for Channel 5’s flagship documentary series Hidden Lives looking at the lives of men with short stature (excluding on this occasion men with dwarfism and other growth conditions).
The programme will be exploring the issues that men with short stature come up against in daily life. Are they angered or frustrated by people’s reactions to them? Are they a stronger person for it? Do they make up for their short stature in personality and zest for life? Do they have more drive and determination to succeed in life? Have they become huge successes in sport/work or other areas? Have they ever considered or are they going for leg lengthening surgery?
We will be researching and filming the documentary over the next couple of months and are keen to talk to UK based men about their experiences of being shorter than average. There is no obligation to be involved in any filming, in the first instance we would just be keen to hear about people’s experiences.
If this is you or someone you know, you live in the UK and would be happy to chat to me, please call me on 020 7907 0870 or via email at

Please accept my sincere apologies if you’ve already been contact by one of my colleagues – Caroline, Danny or Sarah.
I hope to hear from you.
Many thanks,
Helen Crampton
