My mothers mother died,and because my grandfather was left with 11 kids,Gaston Co. N.C. DSS came and took most of them out of the home.Mildred Walker was one of the kids that was adopted out,and my mother is,and has been looking for her.The clues that I have so far are these:
She was raised (until the adoption) in Stanley NC,Gaston Co.It is believed that she was adopted out to a family in Draper.
Her original name was Mildred Walker (first and or last name possibly changed due to the adoption)
Her birth mothers name was Essie Mae Walker
Her birth fathers name was Louis Daniel Walker
She has sisters:
Brenda
Betty
Georgia
Sue (originally Sude)
And Brothers:
Billy
Avery
Junior
Walt
Both Billy,and Betty were born with a cleft lip and palate.The list of brothers and sisters is incomplete.I am getting new info every day and will update here as soon as I get it.I am looking for this lady,any help would be very much appreciated.BTW this is a very nice,and well constructed website.Thanks again for any help that you can offer...
