"Gods and Generals" is the best Civil War (War of Northern Aggression?) film I've ever seen.
It has great historical authenticity and portrays Southerners in the kind of accurate light that one rarely sees. It's long (nearly four hours) but has an intermission. As with any superb film, I wasn't even aware of the time. Special kudos to the portrayals of both General Lee and General Jackson.
The battle scenes are shockingly authentic. Go see it!!!!!!
