I'm William W. "Bud" Howe. I left Eden for San Antonio, TX about 35 years ago. Most of my family has also moved away.
My dad was Howard W. Howe who worked at the old Spray Woolen Mill from the time he was around 16 years old until his retirement. Thanks to dad I was priviledged to meet some of the most colorful and wonderful people of my entire life. I caught my first fish in the old mill canal one night with my dad and Harvey Stewart. I remember sitting on the fish, until dad could find something to string it on. They later took a picture of me and the fish behind dad's 1936 Plymouth, a car he bought from Clint Atkins.
As for the radio station WLOE...I was once recorded singing "Mama Don't Allow No Guitar Playing Around Here". I won a radio for my trouble.
I'd love to hear from some of dad and mom's old friends, if any of you are still kickin'! I like to get mail from the young/old also. God bless you all!
