Well, much of my ancestral research on my ggg-grandfather, John Hall Bullard, has been blown to smitherines recently! I know who he was; I know that he built that Bullard-Ray-Harrington house (thanks to the friendly folk there in Eden!); and, I know who his wives and children were. I thought I knew who his parents were. Turns out, several Bullard researchers and I were all wrong. (*bangs head on desktop*) So, now I'm looking for some kind, kind soul to maybe do some research at the county library and/or records offices. Will gladly pay any fees associated with such research. I am looking for absolutely anything that might indicate the names of John Hall Bullard's parents. He was born Feb 24, 1808 in MA. He died Aug 1870 at Leaksville. He married Edith Wray on May 8, 1848 at Rockingham Co. He married Eliza A. Eager sometime before 1855. They lived, until 1870, in Leaksville. He operated Bullard & Company, a store there in Leaksville. Maybe the Bullard/Wray marriage record says something about parentage? Or, a death record for John? Or, maybe a will or probate record that might indicate siblings, or something? Maybe something that shows where in MA he was from? I'd be happy to find any clue at all. Among his many grandchildren, was my cousin, the infamous Dr. John Bullard Ray, if that helps any.
