I'm trying to find his parents, too. Beth and I have both been working on this project for a couple of years. We have just learned that the people we thought were his parents were not, so we are at square one again.
He had three wives: Sarah Dudley, whom he married in 1828 in Sharon, MA. At least two children were born of this marriage, Sarah Caroline and Annie Morehead Bullard. The latter was my great-grandmother.
2. Edith Wray, whom he married in Rockingham Co. in 1848. We had previously thought that this marriage was childless. However, Mrs. Jean Dunn Harrington has produced an obituary of her death giving the stunning information that she died in Massachusetts, where they had moved from Leaksville and there had been two children born to the marriage. She was only about 22 when she died.
3. Eliza Ann Eager, whom he married in Mass., about 1855. There were six children born to this marriage and following his death in 1870, Eliza eventually returned to Massachusetts. She made her home with or near her son Charles by this marriage. She died sometime after the census of 1920. The youngest child of this marriage Forrest Bullard, ended up in the far west. He died in Tacoma, WA, in 1929. We don't know what became of the other children of the third marriage.
