Peaking are we? Sure you want to - it might ruin the book.

Do you have the British or American version?

This is hillarious, i'm glad I read the book. Nothing has spoiler warnings.

Hmm, well i have no clue where it would be in the american version.. Sorry.

Argh, i'm sick of copying and pasting my sig every time. This is getting annoying. How much longer is this stupid post moderated thing lasting. It obviously isn't helping stop spoilers.

SJJCYMRU,

Is there any particular reason you brought up a post from June?  It would be much appreciated if you didn't do this, especially for a fairly pointless reason.  The subject of American and British versions is and old one.  For whatever reason, the publishers opted to do this.  It certainly wasn't the 'vote' of Americans.

You know what's funny? This post happens to have a post from Cocoaa, and I was just commenting on how she doesn't post anything except to ask/say when book 6 will be out. Weird coincidence (and, NO, I'm not suggesting that she reposted this. just a strange coincidence).

Ah, The overly sympathetic Sandy...geese, maybe i should put "quotes" around the jokes, so you don't take things so seriously:)

Cmon, I have seen harsher replies to typical stuff like this!

Locke, did it ever occur to you that people get your jokes but don't find them funny?

I don't need quotes around what you call humor.  I need you to quit acting like a pain in the butt.

I really didnt want to bump this pointless thread up (the worst thing is - it was pointless when it was current!!! time hasnt changed a thing!) BUT I have to say 'Way to go Sandy!'
You've said exactly what alot of people on this board have been thinking - but were waiting for the right moment to say - and shrugging it off, Locke, is possibly the worst thing you could do. The jokes arent funny, and you do, in the process of your retarded humour, offend and annoy people!
Think before you speak! - and stop being so damn awful to newbies.... I remember a time when you werent well liked at all (apart from right now!) and im sure you didnt like it - newbies are just that 'new' they just need a bit of guidance before u go crucifying them!

I think its funny that im getting yelled at, for something as trivial as this.

The kid brought up 2 posts from the past...pointlessly...he yelled on another thread of his own. And he uses extremly anoying shortforms.

heh, now i think thats funny.

Locke, what you fail to recognise is that its not just this 'one trivial time' - its all the time! You would remember the message i sent you over AOL messenger a while back..... was that not enough warning?
and as I recall - when you came back, you promised you wouldnt revert your old jerk-off ways.... well guess who seems to be rearing his ugly head again.
(well evident with the comment "I dont know you, so I dont care")

The point is - this person was a newbie, and they have been told - if they persist, then hey - its fair to yell... but ur just throwing ur weight around straight off the bat... who the hell do you think you are talking to ppl like that?

and you of all people should be lenient to second chances - seeing as u wouldnt be here urself without them!

Exactly.
Locke, this is just one time...in a succession of many instances. Increasingly, you've been going back to the way you first acted when you came to this board. We kicked you off because your behavior was intolerable. Then you came back under a new name, and we liked you. You had something relevant to say. When you told us who you were before, we didn't care because you hadn't gone back to being that same person again. But now, over time, you seemed to have grown comfortable here and think that if you revert to your old antics, no one will call you on it. You seem to figure that as a regular, you're untouchable and we'll leave you alone if you should harass people and insult them, which you used to do the first time you came on this board.

Sorry, doesn't work that way. You are just as likely to get banned again for acting like this now as you were the first time you came here. The mods are more than ready to do it and we have discussed it.

So take that under advisement and see if you want to stay or leave. Your choice.

The only downfall I see to this conversation is that some of the former regulares, well who considered themselves regulars but forever will be known as annoybies in out hears, can't see this thread because of being banned themselves. Would definatly give proof to what we say about how we act is not strictly towords newbies and it goes for everyone, including people who are now current regulars. I guess I say this because as I was reading it the first people I could think of were Jenn/Ginny/Lil_Witch/whatever name she wishes to be called this week, and Kat. The pair of them, but not only them, from what I recall, constantly harrassed people when people put them in their place saying they don't treat regulars like they treat them. They always said that no matter what a regular did would just be ignored because they were just that, a regular. Too bad they personaly can't see that thread, it may shut them up about that argument for good.

But they CAN read the threads, and even reply.

If the ban on them is from their IP, all they need do is use a different ISP (internet provider), or go to the library, or a friends house, etc.

If they want to reply, they could use their same username - unless it's been banned also - or create a brand new name.

You see, Locke, it isn't just a case of me being 'oversensitive' here.  You know I've been on you a couple times lately (gently, but I have been snapping at you a bit) for some of the crap you have been posting.

Now, if you'd like to see me display a lack of sensitivity, I suppose I could do that.  Just be careful what you wish for.

Well, it seems that I went a little far this time. I do remember your IM message Lilmiss...and i did apoligize, I didn't believe that the response i posted here was inappropriate...I even poked fun at myself...calling myself a newbie.

When you got irritated(sandy), i took it into consideration, thus the shrug. and realized maybe I had taken it too far. I don't know about "antics" you will have to give me examples of how I have posted innapropriatly(other then the random ranting at newbies, i do believe i have followed all rules.)

For what it's worth I'm sorry. I will try to avoid "throwing" my weight around as you put it.(I didn't know I had weight, when will I get weight? When everyone that was on this board leaves that remembers me being a dick before?)

Ps. I snapped back at you Lilmiss, because the only time you seem to want to post, is when you want to give me ****.

Pss. I don't think I would like to see the "insensitive" side of you sandy.

The "antics" were mostly against Sandy, not newbies. The mods have talked about taking action against you long before now because your posts became more cynical and rude against people who did not provoke you.

Even in this apology letter, which I appreciate, you come off a bit rude by asking when you'll ever get weight around here. What weight is that? To be rude without reason and to push other people around without other board member's input? Never. Not even the mods have that. The weight we have is to go to Dakota...and anyone on this board can do that if they want.

What can I say Locke? If you didnt post crap, I wouldnt feel the need to give you crap for it!

and as much as Helen appreciates your apology, Im sorry but I think its a load of BS! You would never have apologised to myself, or more importantly to Sandy, had Helen not stepped in on this thread.

If you want examples of your antics, read each of the threads u posted on! Your general tone and poor humour are a start.
But I guess the fact that you feel you've done nothing wrong will of course deter u from changing your ways.....
