Does anyone have any theries about the weasleys? i think they will be VERY important in later books, but i have no clue how. i do think that Arthur will either kill or be killed by Lucias Malfoy. I read somewhere that King Arthor and King Lucias were enemys and one of them killed the other, although i dont no who. Anybody know? Any theries?

I do have a hard time seeing all the Weasleys survive this war, but I don't want Arthur and Molly dead, particularly. I don't hate Molly for her arguments with Sirius. While I don't like some of the things she said and I certainly don't like that they were said in the presence of others, I don't think she was entirely in the wrong. Sirius was, at times, a pain in the butt in OotP. I really like the Sirius character and am not at all happy about his death, but there were aspects of his character in this book that I didn't care for. We have already discussed that part to death, though, so I am not trying to stir up that particular argument.
As for the other Weasleys, I am very curious to see what becomes of Percy now that Fudge had to admit he was wrong. Percy broke from his family over Fudge's lies. On one hand, it seems reasonable that he might come back on hands and knees to be forgiven, but I think it is equally possible that his anger and bitterness could make him an unwitting target for recruitment by Voldy. I can see him blaming this all on Harry and Dumbledore and agreeing to side against them, without really thinking out the consequences. I picture a nasty thing happening to his family (the death of one, possibly by Percy's own hand) which would cause him to do the whole I've-made-a-horrible-mistake-oh-what-have-I-done deal.

cool point!!! I also think that Percy will be important but like in a bad way... I think he'll join 'Voldy and his boys' and be killed by someone.... but then... I think it's a great idea that he'll kill someone in his own family......... who do you think it could be? if I go to extremes, I would say Ron cuz then Harry can get like really mad and kill people!!!! but then i don't think so.... maybe Arthur...

My sentiments for Molly aside, I do think she'll die. She is the backbone for that family. She's the one who holds everyone together. If Voldemort wanted to strike a huge blow to the Order of the Phoenix- he'd only need to kill her. Since he's supposed to be greater and more terrible than ever before, I could see him giving that blow. Without Molly, Harry loses one of his last parental figures, his best friend's family will be in complete chaos...
And the Order will lose its cook.

Ummmm...to start off, Sirius was my FAVORITE character, but it's definitely true that he got to be a little...moody, reckless, etc. in OotP. So I really don't blame Molly whatsoever because she was kind of telling the truth. But I do think that it is highly unlikely that the Weasleys will make it through as a whole. This is really morbid, but I think that Mrs. Weasley will die...because she sort of holds the family together, everyone really loves her. She's so worried about everyone else dying, so I think that she'll be the one to go. Again this is really morbid and probably wrong, but...that's my theory.

I feel almost certain that one of the Weasley's will get the axe! I tend to agree with Helen that it might be Molly.
Remember, Wormtail lived with the Weasley's for what, 12 or 13 years?! He will almost certainly use his inside info on the Weasley clan for Voldemort's cause. Knowing what he knows about the family, Molly is my bet. Like Helen said she holds that family together, so her demise will have the largest overall effect on the Order and the family.

i was thinking the same "percy" thing. i dont think he'll have the guts to say he was sorry after what he did to them. he probably will join lord voldemort. i hope he gets killed because i never liked him much. i really hope molly doesnt get killed. although i do like sirius, i also no that she thinks of harry as a son and with no parents and now no Godfather (sniff) harry needs someone like that to look up to. besides, ron is my second favorite character and ginny is my first, and i also love fred and george, i dont want their family to be torn apart. i also hope that im wrong about lucias killing arthor but i hope that arthor kills lucias (that evil man) i hate lucias and i want him dead. i really hope that if one of them has to die it will be percy (even though that would kill molly).

I agree too that a Weasley will probably die. I don't think we'll see Molly die because it would eliminate the main female adult in the story. I think that the Molly v/s boggart scene was foreshadowing of a Weasley death. Arthur escaped death and so I don't think it will be him. Ginny was nearly killed by Tom Riddle, so I don't think she is a candidate. Fred and George are the comic relief, so I don't think it will be them. That leaves Ron, Percy, Charlie and Bill. I think that it will be Percy and I think he will die protecting a family member.

With Percy, I think he's going to be the comparison of Sirius's brother. He will not want to admit defeat to his parents and might try to take a brief stint with Voldemort. However, all his past values are against him there. He'll probably try to get out. Well, you can't leave Voldemort and expect to live...so I think he'll die there.

My theory is that Percy will probably join the Death Eaters, make a huge mess, so someone from his family dies, then he will regret it, stand up to Voldie and get killed.
I think it would be really interesting to see a Weasly go evil.
Interesting ideas, i do believe that several weasly's will die. Mrs. Weasley is to crucial to the family, beyond crucial in fact, as well as stated before, she is the only leading female role(really). My bets are on Mr. Weasley, Percy, and one of the Weasley twins. Percy causing his own demise, while Mr. Weasley will be defending someone/thing, and the twins like stated, the comic relief, the only thing that would make these books even more serious, would be 1 of their deaths, and the yearning for revenge by the "survivor".

In most of the books, Ron tells Harry that Percy would do anything for power. But I don't think he would join Voldemort. He is, after all, like the junior assistant to the whatever, and appeared at the Weasley home with the Minister of Magic himself, so he really has no need to get more power. But what I think is that Voldemort will lead an attack on some Ministry of Magic members, and Percy will be killed. In my mind, in OOTP, Molly says (maybe foreboding) that she fears one or more of the Weasleys will die, and also fears if something will happen to Percy if they never made up.

I think that Percy will join Voldemort and kill Charlie. Ron will go on a rampage and kill everything in sight including Percy. Voldemort will then kill Ron and get Harry very P.O.

Well, you're very sure of yourself. Voldemort isn't one of the two characters that's going to die because JKR said two were going to die fighting Voldie.
I still have high hopes for Harry that he won't die. I don't know who will, obviously, but I mainly hope it isn't the trio+Ginny that die, that would be devestating.
