Has anybody seen this movie yet? I seen it last week when it came out, and it was prety good I thought. I must say I was expecting it to be better, but it was still prety good. Everybody I know who seen it also thinks it was really good, except one person, she thought it was absoultly terible. But that was just one person compaired to a bunch of people liking it. The songs were prety awesome also. I figured they may have done what they did in Queen of the Damned and have somebody sing over Jack Black's voice, but it was actually him. And his voice was prety good, it fit the music well. I'm not positive if all the kids were really playing though. I think most of them were (and if not, then they hid it well enough to see so it was good). Although I think the basist wasn't really playing. Besides for her, I thought the rest actually were good for kids. They actually kept practicing two songs threw the whole movie, just peices here and there, but in the end they played both of them full out and they were good. Any opinions of anybody who has seen it?

First of all i'd like to say jack black rocks my socks off. And just to let you know yes all of the kids did play, even though the basist didn't look like she was playing. This movie, much like Jack Black, rocked my socks off. If you haven't seen this movie yet see it... Now!

Yes I saw School of Rock and I agree, it kicked...especially what Jack Black says to the parents on parents night.

I swear I responded to this, but it seemingly dissapeared. Oh well.

When Jack said that to the parents about the touching thing, my friend Tim shouted out "And he isn't even a preist!!!!!". That got the whole audiance laughing histericly because he waited like 10 seconds for the laughter to die down. Then half of the row of people in front of us stopped laughing simotaniously, turned around to see him, and said "HUH?" like thay laughed and didn't even get it!

I am beyond keen to go see this movie, i went to go see it tonight, but the last showing had already started. So i watched "Once Upon A Time In Mexico", which was surprisingly good.

Jack Black has his own band, with his brother. Funniest lyrics you will ever hear. I believe the name of the band is. "Tenatious D", they started on SNL a while ago.

Now i must go see this movie tommarro!

Since this is kind of a movie-thread, i'll post this here:

If you're thinking about seeing Out of Time, go see something else. It had a good story line but nothing came together at the end. It had a good idea for an ending but it just didn't fit together.

Haha, Samantha. My opinion: If you are thinking of seeing "Out of Time..." See it!

Denzel Washington played his part brilliantly and it was very supensful. So, yeah, don't listen to Samantha and see it!

Isn't that the one about him being his own main suspected.

I HAVE to go see School of Rock. Rock is the best music. AAAHHH! I am probably going to go sometime this week.

I wanted to see Once Apon A Time in Mexico(mainly because of Johnny Depp ) but it was rated "R" and my Dad never had time to go with me. My friend saw it though. She also saw Underworld. And apparently it is really bad. I think she said something like it was like a really really bad version of Once Apon A Time in Mexico. I don't remember how see described it though.

You can guess I really seem to put of going to movies alot and by the time I have time to go see them they're gone. UGH!!

I really want to see both "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" (Desperado kicked ass!) and "School of Hard Rock". I instead saw "Kill Bill"...which I LOVED. It was a classic Tarantino film, though- which means LOTS of blood and LOTS of limbs flying...but that's just his style. I like his films, so I was into it.

Can anyone give me a "trailer" summary of Kill Bill without revealing anything that would ruin the movie?

Different Movie

I know a while ago we had a thread for just our opinions of movies. Because this one has just kind of strayed into that, I'll give my opinion on Duplex. If you think you want to see it, wait until it comes out on DVD. Maybe I was just having a bad day, but I was sitting there watching it and I seriously thought that I had been watching it for 2 hours. I looked at my watch and it was only an hour into it. It was only about 1 1/2 hours long, but it seemed like an eternity. And I really like Drew Barrymore and Ben Stiller

I made a thread about Kill Bill Volume 1, but I guess nobody saw it. It is either bottom of this page or top of page two because I made it when I made this thread. I put a link to a trailer in the thread. ...Maybe I'll just bump it for you since I'm bored. Oh well, like Helen said, it was a damned good movie.

LOL TonksLUVER, yeah the actors were terrific but I'm picky about endings I guess! I didn't like the whole twist. I dunno. Mixed feelings about this one!

Hello,

I apologize if someone has already noted this, but did anybody else think that the drummer from school of rock looked like Tom Felton. Tom Felton being the actor who plays Draco Malfoy in the HP movies.

He may even be Tom Felton for all I know.

Any comments?

Soma

No, I don't think he was him. I don't think it looked like him much aside from the blonde hair actually. I think in the movie they were all like 10-13ish (can't remember what grade or age for the life of me). I think I read somewhere Tom is around 16 so he probably wouldn't fit anyways. I could be wrong though, I was never known for my attention to detail lol.
