One thing has been puzzleing me for a long time, is the lack of music in the HP series. Music is a big part of everyone, especially during the teenage years. And yet we hear nothing of it. Also there are no music classes at hogwarts. most schools keep the subject open because it is a creative outlet. and because muscians are more relaxed(it is a statistic, that people who play an instrument are more relaxed at work). when i was in school i had to take it to grade nine, and went on to OAC with it. I just find it hard to believe that this can be so insignificant, when music is significant to everyone i know.

There are always the wierd sisters, we hear about them for 3 pages...

well, that's only because the music is not related to anything in the book, though I agree: music is VERY important!! can you believe that in my old school you couldn't have music after year 9??? that's SO unfair!!
Anyway... I have also thought that they should have added more comments about music and also that some of the characters' dream is to become a musician... no one does... maybe because it's not like a really special thing in the wizarding world?

I agree: music should have played a bigger role in the books because its always present in a teenager's life.
However, the Weird Sisters arent the only music group that's been mentioned: we also heard of Celestina Warbeck, in book 2, and the Hobgoblins in book 5 (the band where Stubby Something (the guy who looks like Sirius) used to sing in).
