I'm french and I can tell you it is true and Jedusor means riddle in french. What clever men they are those french translators.
In french, they are lot of words that change:
Snape is Rogue.
Ludo Bagman is Ludo Verpey
Bode and Croaker are Moroz et Funestar.
and a lot of others names change.

Well at least we got it cleared up from an actual french person. I didn't want to bet my life on it that its true in case it wasnt. Ha Snape - Rogue!!! Thats funny!
