Me too! Sirius is supposed to look like he was at one point handsome. I don't think Oldman ever was! He's too ugly! If you think that's bad - wait until you see Lupin. HE IS FAT! I went to Mugglenet and saw the picutres of the wanted sign for Sirius. OMG, he was ugly as hell even before Azkaban according to them. He has a long mustache and is old and laughing his head off. Since when did Sirius have facial hair at all? Lupin is fat and old. Tom doesn't look like the Draco from the past movies...so whose seeing it?

ok all i can say is LMAO to all of the Malfoy vrs. Hair entries. he does look like a nerd, and i used to have a crush on him but after seeing those pictures of him i laugh. i have moved on to LOTR Aragorn and Lagolas.

Since that's the only picture of Draco, I'm hoping his hair looks that way because of what Buckbeak had done to his hand. He's wearing a cast, perhaps he's leaving his hair looking that way to say all the more, "Hey, I can't even do my hair because of that stupid oaf's lack of teaching skills!"

But the origami bird - someone pointed out on another board... of course they have to cut things to make it all fit in the movie... but why the hell do you have to add your own little tidbits? DON'T CHANGE THE STORY! Especially turning Snape into an all-protecting hero! COME ON! I wanted to see them hovering him unconcous and hitting his head on the ceiling! calm down guys, breathe, in..and out.Maybe those pictures arent in full costume yet.I doubt theyll change the way Malfoy does his hair since its discribed the other way in the book(but I think it looks pretty fricken good that way..either way works for me with Tom.) 20 years in azkaban prison CAN make you look a little less attractive, guys, think about it. I think we need to start focusing on there acting abilitys instead of just thier appearances.Im sure thewlis and Oldman will do a good job, and theyre probably look alot better when theyre in the movie instead of just indiviual pictures.

Have you seen Oldman act? He spits when he talks! HE EVEN SPOOFS HIMSELF FOR IT!! One of those pictures - the Wanted Ad - is Sirius BEFORE Azkaban - and he wasn't there for 20 years, it was 12 - that's almost half of what you said.
They ARE in full costume, it's pictures from the trailer - if they were only rehearing Malfoy wouldn't be wearing the cast and bandages. They wouldn't be wearing the jewelry apparently Lucius bought for them (I found that out on another board). Those ARE the pics from the movie.
Thewelis is too fat to be Lupin. I don't care HOW good his acting is... he's supposed to look undernourished!

I really don't want to get into a discussion on this and be accused of being a fatist, but I personally pictured Lupin to be thin. Judging by hundred of pictures I've reviewed of fanart... I'm not the only one with this idea. JKR's descriptive nature would have told us if Lupin was large. They must have allowed their mothers to be casting directors. I'm scared to see what Bellatrix and Narcissa will look like in the next movie. I have a perfect idea for them; but the odds are high that they'll somehow resemble Patty and Selma.
The best Narcissa I think I've seen would be the girl from Die Hard with a Vengance - ironically Han's Gruber's brother's girlfriend. (Gruber's brother - played by Jeromy Irons - actually plays Snape in a London theatre production! We all know who Gruber is I'm sure)
Bellatrix would be represented well by Liz Hurley, if they died her hair black.

I saw the pics and I'm excited for the movie. I think it looks good. I don't think it will at all resemble the book, but disregarding that I think it looks like a good movie, better than the first two atleast. I like the pictures, except Sirius and Lupin and how Snape is guarding them.. Okay i've come to a conclusion. past movies, they did great jobs portraying the older charactors. This movie, I think they're going to do a horrible job with the older ones, but a great job with the younger ones. So far, no the pics don't have the right "look" for the books timing, but I think Cuaron can display emotions well, and there's a lot of emotions within the trio in this book (fights, etc). Ah, I dunno. I just have a good feeling about this one, I guess. Of course, compared to the books [my imagination] it'll be crap, but compared to the first two... I think it'll be entertaining.

Janelle - I don't think you've been here very long. Welcome to the board, please read the posting guidelines. Short and pointless posts aren't very well taken to here.
Now on the movie. Yes, I realize that they have to make so changes to make it fit in the 2 and a half hour time frame BUT making changes in the characters will make the movies stink! You think it's only the adults they're messing up with? Have you even seen how much Harry and Hermione seem to be all over eachother in some of the pictures? To me, that's a major no-no. And changing Snape's character and making him an almightly hero is going to do some serious damage for any possibilities of the next two movies to be at all decent.
Now, out of the three books POA is the longest. Of course some things will have to be cut out and no, it can't be exactly like the book. It can't be remotely like the book. Or can it?
How many pages are in the Fellowship of the Ring? How long was the running time? Did they mess up any of the characters, with the exception of Arwen - HOW MANY die hard LOTR fans have been thoroughly disapointed?
VERY rare, because Peter Jackson showed a love for the books through his work. Alfonso just wants to get his hands on a few quick bucks and sees that JKR is the highest paid woman in Britain, and wants a piece. Hell - I'm personally betting that this movie will blow worse than the first, and tha's saying a whole lot. They have ruined the best characters just by appearance alone.
Do you know that Rosemerta is being played by a 65 year old woman? Wasn't Ron supposed to have a litle boy crush on her? A 65 YEAR OLD WOMAN? EW!
Please, don't try and say they need to cut so much - because that is lame. People aren't complaining about the cuts, we're complaining about the unnecessary changes. It's almost like vandalism, ruining such a good book like this.

I agree with most you said, Narcissa... I've got mixed feelings about the movie, I just think it'll be entertaining, regardless of comparisons to the book. It looks like an entertaining film despite all the mistakes there will be.
As for all the mistakes, we all knew there'd be some. I for one was expecting this many and I'm sure there's gonig to be tons more... so I'm not even going to bother focusing on that it'll take all night heh.

Malfoy looks FINE! I'd take him right now if he wasn't so young...bah, I'll take him anyways. The thing that's wrong with the new movie is how they royally messed up with Lupin and Sirius. Dumbledore looks fine, reminds me of my grandfather but Sirius and Lupin, PAHA! I say, make me casting director and I'll get the good people.
