My name is Nathan and i am new to this website, im 14 and a big harry potter fan. at my school im kinda a class clown skater,f and d student n people think that im stupid but im also kinda popular. i was reading OOTP and one of my friends said "dude what the heck ya reading that harry pothead 4? i hate to be the one to tell ya this but magic doesent exist." its funny but for a week i thought about what he said and i have come to a conclusion, magic does exist, when Jk writes these books and we read them, try to recall the feelings u felt when harry kissed cho, and when harry won the tri wizards and when sirius died its the most intense fealings of love, admiration and a sense of shared valor that you get from these books that is the true magic. nobody here can deney that this book does not posses a form of magic. we are addicted to find out the fate of our brother harry and even though he is made up, if the book ended in his demise we would mourn him as if he really were a real member of our family.

I really wouldn't morn Harry if he died. He's a person in a book. I guess I'd be sad but it wouldn't be as hard as if a real person that I knew and could talk to died.
I'm open to the idea that magic might be real. But I'm not going to say yes until there's proof.

NathanBlack, if you're here to talk about magic being real, you've come to the wrong place, and if you're here to talk about emotions being like magic then you're being too sentimental for me...lol
anyway, this is a place for talking about the books or anything else within reason. Don't worry, we've had much worse posts, there wasn't anything wrong with this one, it was just a bit odd, and since we've had some people act funny and ruin the board, se tend to get suspicious easily.

If you break a crumb in half you have two crumbs, not two half-crumbs. Doesn't this violate some law of physics?
