Yeah I got the same thing when i tried to login. I have no idsea if it's real or not but it's really annoying to wait for the stupid thing to pop up before you can say no I don't want to install the Entrypass. If they do require a logindownload for some reason I'm gonna be pretty pissed off

I assume you are using IE? i suggest installing Netscape 7.1, you can enable it to kill all pop-ups without bothering to install another program. i find it very handy, and no longer wait for 3-4 pop ups to finish after loading the main HP page

No - Locke what he means is that when you try to log into this board it comes up with a message saying that you have to install a certain type of software and if you dont, you wont be able to access Network 54 in a few weeks time.... If this is the case, Network 54 can go jump! There is NO WAY that I'm installing a program that sends me pop-ups when I surf the net! I have enough problems with them already, why in the hell would I knowingly allow a company to permanently have a spy-connection to my comp!!!

Is this the way its going to be from now on???

Seeing how nobody is going to install it, if it is real, should we start to think about moving the board itself off of Network 54 once it happens?

I haven't gotten anythig about this either, I recently downloaded the google toolbar though, which blocks all advertisments, so that may have something to do with it.

What's wrong with this picture?

I get it about half the time I even visit this site, I don't even try to login- around the same time I seem to have gotten some sort of spyware or a virus- don't know if they're related, but it keeps changing my homepage on me. I usually just hit cont+alt+del and reopen my browser, it doenst pop up all the time

In find that it only shows up when I'm running the pop-up stopper. If I turn off the blocker, the NetPass thing doesn't come up. But if it's on, it happens about ever 3rd or 4th thread that I bring up.

It says that you can sign up for free (now), so I did but I'm still getting it. I've got the google bar, I tried Netscape, etc. It's not actually a pop-up. It's a Flash file that runs with your page. These are becoming more popular since most people don't want to block them since many web pages use Flash to make them look cooler.

If Net54 makes this a pay site, I'll stop coming here. They should just keep the banner ads and not try to make people find new ways of defeating the pop-ups.
