If you like any kind of sci-fi, i suggest: Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. It's my favorite book of all time. I read it when I was 17. It's not really "sci-fi" ish either. Quick summary, Aliens have attacked earth, and in the aftermath the human race is regrouping for the next attack, they are looking for a Commander to lead the Fleets of Earth, so Battle School is created, where children are recruited based on intelligence. A must read, i think you would enjoy it.

Well, in my book club we just finished reading Interview With The Vampire. Everyone with the exception of maybe two people got into the book and liked it. I thought it was really awesome. And if you get into the book completly, by the end, then you can read on because that is the first in a series.

Also, I have heard a bunch of people recomend 'And Then There Were None'. That's one of my next books on my list to read. Out of other books I have read though, I like 'The Giver' and 'The Outsiders'. All great reads. Check them out at the book store and see what you think you'll like best.

I really like the 'Ice and Fire' series by George RR Martin.  It's fantasy lit, but the plot is very involved and political.  I can't remeber if the first book is 'Game of Thrones' or 'Clash of Kings', but they are a great read.  Just stick with it until you get to the part where they find the wolf cubs and the dead wolf mother. (I think about 50 pages in), before that point I was thinking it was going to be sort of lame, but at that point it really takes off and is quite special.

Animal Farm or 1984 by Orwell are great... I loved Catcher in the Rye (cliche, I know)... anything else I can think of is more girly.

If you want to read an anoying book about an anoying boy, then read the catcher in the rye. but only if you feel like your a social outcast, and need someone to relate to...The Power of One(Bryce Courtenay) is also a good book
