The Return of the King is definatly going to be the best of the three!!! I can't wait to see it!! I'm going to try to go on opening night if I can. The trailer looks amazing!!! and the gollum thingy is hilarious!!! I'm so excited to see this movie!
I'm reallly looking forward to Return... If you've read the books, you will know that they took some of Two Towers book and put it in ROTK (the movie). If they hadn't, you would think that.....sorry...... if I tell that it would be a really big spoiler....sorry....anyway, they cut the movies different than the books, and I think it was a good idea. The battle in the plain in front of Minas Tirith should be fabulous. I saw a special on how they mapped out the battle based on the description of the locations of the armies in the book, they made sure to move them as they might have actually moved in battle. That attention to detail is so impressive. The thing I think is funny is that Peter Jackson will spend an incredible amount of time to get the most perfect look from a character on film, but he never seems to have his hair combed, and he always seems to be wearing that jacket that's patched with duct tape. LOL he's amazing!

I think I'm going to see it about a week after it comes out. The day it's released I finish finals and am going back to NH (yay!) so that days out and all my home friends don't get back until later...so I must wait. I guess it's better to beat the rush anyway, and it will give me time to re-watch the first two

Yeah, I'm planning on re-watching the first two before I go see the third. I tried watching TTT last night, but fell asleep. I've done that 3 times since I bought the DVD, so I really haven't seen it since it was in theaters. But, I'm aiming to see RotK next weekend.

I'm not the only one who falls asleep, 3.5 hrs is a long time to sit on a couch. Oh, and i Don't feel guilty about spoiling plot mom-eye. Only true fans of the book, will care, because they have sought out and read it.
But i won't spoil much. Peter Jackson said in an interview(I'm sorry I don't have a url on it, i saw it on the "movie show") that there where to many parallels between the LOTR TT and HP COS. So he took the "spider" fight scene out of the end of TT. And if you are a hardcore fan, you will have scene a shot of the "fight scene".
That fight alone, is going to be worth my 10 bucks to see the movie. Sam is by far my favorite character in the books, frodo is such a....
Thats my 2 cents

I talked a handful of friends into going on opeining day at the midnight showing so we can see the first showing. That didn't work out. The biggest theater and most impressive one in the state at that, is not having a midnight showing. Now if it was some small theater, or one in a mall I wouldn't be surprised. But if you know the Randolph Showcase Cinimas, then you would be shocked. So we got tickets for one at 8:15 PM that night of the release. We figure that way we can have dinner first lmao.
Now, EVERY time I went to see LOTR in theaters (I seen each one once), I was with my friends and missed some important things because we were either talking or making fun of Gimley (was that the dwarf with the ax's name lmao?). So, I am going to rewatch the first two by myself on DVD. Yay! I "borrowed" the first one from my friend so I'll probably see that one tomorrow. Then if I have time after I'll watch the second. We got that for my grandmother for Christmas and I'm opeining it lol.

I really don't know anything about LotR, but I'm going to see it with school next Friday. The kids who don't get referrals and tardies get to see it. The last two years, we saw HP.

Yeah, I thought about doing that.. but I didn't have enough time.
One day i'm going to go along every board I can moderate, and change all of chris's "I seen...." At first I thought it was just a mistake, but he says it EVERY TIME!

I can't wait. I want to see it so bad. You know I haven't seen even one TV on acount of our TV being turned off, plus I never have time to watch TV. So I need to see it even more. Maybe some of my reason for seeing it might be a little different than some of your's. If you know what I mean. I totally saved the picture of that poster on the trailer thing(on Yahoo). It'll be in my locker by Monday. Ahhh, I can't wait any longer, I have to see my "friend".
I didn't know that about the spider seen. Wow, it doesn't bug me as much if you put it that way.
I don't know who said it but I can't believe they take you to new movies at school. If they do that at my school we go when the movie has been out so long you'd think it would be on video already. Do you have to pay your way or does the school pay for everyone?
I didn't see all the movies in theaters. I had to read the book before I even dared see the movie. So I got the first for Chritmas last year(I finally finish the book that night, it took me a year and I read most of the last half on Christmas eve and Christmas). Then I finished the secound book New Years Eve 12 minutes before it started so I got my parents to take me(my dad drove very very fast!!!). So I got to see that one. I am hoping to go see it this year on opening night or friday with my friends(I won't make it till Friday believe me). Seeing it in the movies is so much more fun. I'll probably see it more that once of course. (I'm also glad I live in such a lowly populated place, lower movie prices.)
