I'm surprised that there isn't a spell to fix people's eyes so they don't have to wear glasses. Instead there is a spell to fix glasses if they break.

Shivers I mean all the laser surgery and stuff makes my skin crawl enough, I'm glad that such a spell hasn't been metioned. Yuck. Just think of someone hitting your eyes with a spell. Doesn't that bug you? I mean arms are one thing but eyes!! Does anybody get what I'm trying to say?

I've often wondered that too. QwP, maybe you could have someone else do it for you, like and eye witch/wizard, kind of like how we have eye docters.

My Aunt got surgery on her eyes, and now she doesn't have to wear contacts or glasses anymore. It cost like $3,000 though.

DON'T READ FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR HOW IT'S DONE.

This next section is for the people who do want to know how it's like.

The doctors numb your eyes, and it feels like you're blind for about 30 seconds. But the worst part is that you smell burning flesh(or eyes). My Aunt said they use lasers to reshape your eyes. It sounds really gross.

I could only go threw that if they put me to sleep first and pryed open my eye lids. I don't care about the numbness, I'd still be sceared like crazy and jump around.

Well, they have medications to do other stuff in the magical world, what makes you so sure that they don't have medications or potions rather, to do that also?

I, personally, wouldn't really mind if they had a spell. I mean, if they don't like how they look, they should be allowed to change them.

I wear contacts/glasses. I have several friends that have had the laser surgery, but I don't think I will. I'm not squeemish about it, but I just don't think that scientist have enough history on it. How do they know that the spot they just worked on will still be viable 50 or 70 years later? I know that they had to do so much testing to get it approved, but do they have any human that's had it done 70 years ago?
