Just saying hello...

I know i haven't been here in ages...I've been pretty busy lately, with school, National Honors Society (yea...i'm one of those nerds...), and i just got one of the supporting rolls in a play and i had to memorize my lines rather quickly, skiing, a new job (yea i left subway ) , and a bunch of other stuff. I had no time to come online. Plus my comp. had really started to show its age, so my dad reformatted it, thus deleting ALL MY FILES and everything that existed. All the programs and everything were lost. And i was SO PISSED OFF cuz my compositions and literacy works were on here (including a HP fanfic and a sequal to that "if the board ppl met" on i had written). So were all my music files and pictures. So i'm still a little upset about how that played out.

I really wanna make a return on this board, although i'll just say now that i'm pretty busy so if i go away for a couple days at a time, its prolly cuz of work, or any other of the things above. To all that remember me, hello, and to the new people that i have yet to meet: um...hello as well. I can't wait to get back into the groove of this site...

Hey Adrienne!  Wondered where you were hiding.  Glad you stopped by.  You do sound busy, but we'll be glad to see you whenever you breeze in.

What play and what role?  Sounds fun.  Also, congrats on NHS.  I was one of those nerds myself.  Actually, rather fun.

My letter for Adrienne:

Dear Adrienne,

Thank you for coming back. In fact, we were just wondering where you had gotten to. Apparently, Sandy, you and I were the NHS nerds (I'll tell you the truth, it's great on your record for when you apply to go to college. It's even better if you keep it up throughout your college career). And, I'm guessing there were more people on this board who were in NHS and I'm sorry if I left you out but I didn't know yet.

Don't worry about not being on the internet very often; I think we all understand about busy schedules and whatnot. Just keep us all updated and such and we will be happy.

Oh, and I'm also curious about the role and play, as I was in a few myself.

Break a leg!

I know what the role is. We spent a while talking about it. But, I'll let her say it.

I'm getting the script.

Welcome back, Adrienne!

Its rather funny...

The story of the play is that basically its a group of people on top of the empire state building about 10 minutes from the end of the world due to nuclear war with Russia. It takes place in the 80s. My character is an aristocratic snobbish woman (without an english accent...i tried ) who wants to kill herself. Basically, she wants to die on her own terms, and tries to jump but the guard stops her. And before long she realizes that no one cares if she really jumps or not (her husband tries to get her to jump) so she changes her mind. Heres an exerpt:

(i'm feonna...and my husband is bob)

FEONNA: i see no reason whi i shouldnt jump from here. this is as good a place as any. even better.

BOB: all i'm saying is that the chrystler building is a bit higher. thats all dear...and they have a bar!

FEONNA: outta my way, i'm going to jump...good bye bob.

GUARD: i'm sorry ma'am but i cant let you do that.

FEONNA: why not!?

BOB: let go of my wife!

FEONNA: give him some money bob!

BOB: whats the matter, kid...a 50 isn't enough?

GUARD: You want to pay me, so your wife can kill herself?!

BOB: of corse i don't want to pay you but it doesn't look like i have a choice now does it?!

thats all i'll give you guys....andi-the script is longer than i anticipitated, so i'll get you a copy by next week...my calc final is coming up so i should really start studying...

thanks for the welcome all!

hmmm... sounds interesting. But why do all aristocratic, snobbish people have to be british???? I'm insulted. j/k

I must have joined the board while you were away! So I am sure my name is just as unfamiliar to you as yours is to me! Anyhoo, congrats on all the hard work you have been doing! Sounds like you have a lot on your plate. Good for you, I always like to hear teenagers doing productive things with their lives. Keep it up.

It's okay, Adrienne, take your time. Don't stress yourself out, it will be bad for Coffae and Coolata.

We're all glad you're back. (:

AHHHHH that bog brush thing! i remember that...

Yea i tried to do that but it didn't work out well...i was busy like i always am...

Severous...i remember you actually. I think you came one about a week before i got swamped and had to leave. I am not really clear on what you did at the board or what your status was, but i'm definately sure that i remember your name. I think someone once said you didn't deserve your name or something and there was a fight or something...i dunno...

Andi...i'm on chapter two!

If you can't find me here, chances are i'm out looking for my coffae coolata.
