HP Message Board Theories Project – Recap
Based on the ten theories that have been voted on by our board wizards we can look forward to the following in books 6 and 7:
Over the summer, Harry will receive his O.W.L.’s. Harry will get 12 –13 OWLS out of 15 – 17 possible. He will not, however receive an O in Potions. Snape requires an O in order to continue in Potions in year 6 and 7. Potions is a requirement to become an Auror, Harry’s chosen career. He will probably go back to school worried about what he will do with his life. McGonagall may have to make good on her promise to make Harry an Auror, no matter what.
Of course, if Severus Snape is not the Potions Master but the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Harry’s Potions grade might not hold him back. There is a chance that Snape will get the job in book 6, but more likely that some new character will be introduced. One of Harry’s biggest frustrations at Hogwarts is Snape. Hard to read, Snape could be good or evil. It’s simply too soon to tell.
The Ministry of Magic has been using Percy Weasley, and he will possibly be used by Voldemort in the future. Percy is one of the more annoying characters in the books. There is a strong possibility that Percy will die before the end of the series. Of course, the most annoying character has been another Ministry employee, Delores Umbridge. What will happen to this lot when Arthur Weasley becomes Minister of Magic?
Harry has several women in his life and they are also annoying us. From Cho to Molly Weasley to Hermione, Harry has lots of reason to be frustrated.
Lucius Malfoy has been more than annoying. he has been a real threat to Harry’s life. We know him as one of Voldemort’s Death-Eaters. He will probably die soon. Neville’s Great Uncle, Algie and Ludo Bagman are likely Death-Eaters who may cause havoc in the coming books.
One thing is for sure, Remus Lupin is not Harry’s father. The ‘father’ figure that Harry has been relying on is Dumbledore. Unfortunately for Harry, Dumbledore is very likely to die in the near future.
There is a 50% chance that Harry will die in book seven. If it happens, the result will be that Harry finds peace, and will not be a poor ending for our hero, but catharsis.
So, that is the summary of the first ten theories and your votes. Let me know if you would like to continue and do some more. I have a few more ideas and I’m sure that you do as well.
