Well I could sarcastically say, "Yes, there is a Cho Chang. To find her you have to pick up a book." But I won't. And if I'm correct they haven't cast her yet.
To be honest with you, I think her part was cut from the movie. I know that the kid who portrays Oliver Wood is not in it either. Cho didn't really mean anything to the plot of PoA so I am guessing that would be one of the first characters axed from the movie version.

I understand that the "cho" thing isn't really necessarry. But look at the Hermione/Ron cliche they through at the end of CoS...Wood was crucial to PoA to a degree and they cut him(he drives them for the cup)...I will never understand their decisions.

Oh, I actually thought this person was talking about GoF and nor PoA. I assumed that because PoA had finished filming already and obviously they aren't going to cast someone for a new role in the movie they hadn't had in it before when it's already finished. I mean I don't know this person or how his/her brain works so maybe they did mean PoA, who knows.
But yeah, they really need Oliver in this movie. I can't beleive the took him out!
While it would be nice to keep Wood in the movie, I can see how it could be done with out him. However, he does indeed provide all the leadership and motivation for Gryffindor to win the Cup. I think that the Quidditch scenes are really going to focus on Harry and the Dementors. A big part of Harry gaining confidence to battle the Dementors is because of Quidditch and his not wanting to lose another game. Another character that will not be in PoA is Nearly Headless Nick.

Nick is gone! That actor is great and I was happy for a change with that guy being casted!
Well yeah, it wouldn't be right, but they could pull Quidditch off without Wood. BUT they actually are not having Quidditch at all in this movie. So that kind of screws up Harry's motivation now doesn't it?
Quidditch is in the movie. I know a while back there were rumors floating aroud that it was cut. But, that rumor has been proven wrong. I think it is Mugglenet (who else?) that had it comfirmed that Quidditch was in. I have also read an interview (with Dan, I think) talking about the wet suits they had to wear while filming the game played in the big storm where the Dementy-whatsits show up.

Ahhh! Chris you almost sound like one of those fan girls who's always like "Oliver Wood is so hot, we need him to be in the movie so we can drool over him like dogs"

I think they are going to make the Quiddtich scene(s) very short. Nothing like they have been in the first two movies. I am guessing they will focus on Harry only and that is why Oliver was cut out.

Well the difference between me and all those people who are all over the actor is I want the character in the MOVIE, not the actor at my HOUSE roflmfao!
Anyway, even if the uidditch is a short scene, it's still messed up. Quidditch is a very important part of the series I think. Well obviously not as important as other thnigs, but Qudditich is important to Harry in more ways then one. I don't think they should have cut it out or even shortened it. But hey, what can you do right?
Ya, I was a little disapointed that they cut John Cleese out. You may recognize him as the new "Q" in the 007 series, I recognize him as one of the fantastic Monty Python "characters". I thought he made the series fresh. Oh well...ya remember this about wood Chris:

You know, the only time I ever saw any of the Monte Pythons was when I was in Science class. I was always grumpy in science because the guy wouldn't let me sleep threw class. Well he wouldn't interupt me when I did, but when I woke up I always found a note from him saying I had detention. Ah well, at least he had the curtasy not to wake me up.
Anyway, now to my point lol. When I saw it I was to agrivated at something (can't remember if it was that I couldn't sleep or not) so I didn't enjoy it at all. But I have seen other things with John Cleese in it and he is an awesome actor. He always makes everything so damned funny! Quick question, are they coming out with any more Bond movies any time soon? I haven't heard anything, although I don't exactly look for info either. But I know at one point someone asked the actor who plays the new Obi-Wan Kanobi in the new Star Wars flicks, but it wasn't anyone who actually does anything for the Bond movies so it wasn't official or anything though.
Do you have Fawlty Towers in America? One of Britain's best comedies. Only 12 episodes made though. Anyway he starred in that and is one of the best comedy actors.

Has anyone seen "A fish called Wanda"? It is absolutely hillarious!(John Cleese; Jamie Lee Curtis; Kevin Kline)
It is from, I think, Late 80's/Early 90's

I remember Rat Race. That movie got a bunch of not so good reviews, but I could never figure out why. I thought that movie was so damned funny! I couldn't stop laughing. I went to see it the first time with my friend Dan. He wasn't interested in seeing it at all, thought it looked dumb. But the movie we wanted to see was sold out (can't remember what it was for the life of me). Well he laughed just as much as I did. And yeah, he was hilarious in that one also!
Anyway, what's the plot about, besides for being about a fish. Why would I want to read about a fish called Wanda lol?
It didn't really have anything to do with a fish. There was a fish called Wanda in it but it wasn't part of the plot. As far as I can remember they robbed a bank or something and kept double-crossing eachother over who gets what and where the money is etc.
I may be wrong though. Also had Michael Palin (another from the Monty Python crew) as a main character. He was brilliant in it.
English comedians are the best.

I never really pictured Ewan in the Bond role. I think he is fully capable of doing the part, but I don't think he would "look" it.

Yeah, well keep in mind he can look the part thanks to the mericle of razors and also make up artists lol.
What I actually read (I remember it more now) was that someone asked him if he would be interested in it. He said he had never considered it, and he isn't sure what he would say if he was asked. But he also said he never considered being Obi-Wan Kenobi, either, until he was asked. I can't remember what was said after about how he came to that conclusion, but I think he said his answer came rather quickly. I think he also said if they did ask him, he would probably end up doing things the same way as with Star Wars.
I hope so. Ewan is amazing in that aspect, he puts his full effort into his movies. Have you seen the "behind the scenes" fight scenes of the first movie(episode 1) in particular? He is as fast as the actual movie portrays it. They have a bucket of fake lightsabers and he keeps breaking his. I would say he was the first "real" jedi we got to see in action.

Trainspotting(although i have never seen it, I am told it is really good...it was a girl i know, so it may suck for us guys...she emphasized the fact that you get to see his penis). He is in a lot of low key movies, but lately he has been in more mainstream roles:
Down with love
big fish
black hawk down
moulin rouge

1) Down With Love - Name sounds a bit familure, but I can't remember it. 2) Big Fish - I heard a billion reviews saying how good this was. But from the preview it looks too mind numbingly stupid for me to waste my money on it lmao. 3) Black Hawk Down - Saw it. Can't remember a single part of it. I remember I liked it though if that counts for anything. 4) Moulin Rouge - I want to see it, but I never ended up going. Wasn't this the one with Nicole Kidman in it?
Yeah its a story about love and all (lol @ all the guys who went to see it because they thought it'd be flooded with rudie bits!!) - but Ewan's voice... gives me goosebumps just thinking about it!

I have two friends that each have enough DVD's and VHS's to open a video store. I'll remember that next time I'm over either of their houses. Maybe they'll let me borrow it.
