Found this on Muggle Net. Kind of sounds like JK was in the frame of mind this one may take a while to finish this like the last one.

Letter from JKR to Fans
HPANA has posted a letter from J.K. Rowling to Ali Wildgoose who, last year, organised a project involving older Harry Potter fans entitled The Letter Box. Its purpose was to show JK how many adult fans she had. She wrote back with this:

Dear International Association of Potter Fans,

What can I say? Rarely do I receive such letters, and never before in one beautifully packaged collection..

I apologize most sincerely for the long wait for a response. You congratulated me on his birth - and no, he's not a Squib - but David is indeed the main reason that i am horrendously behind on my correspondence. Well - David and book 6 which (before the press start up again with the writer's block stories) is flowing like a mountain stream.

With many many thanks for sending me such a treat I am

Yours most sincerely

(signed) JKRowling
(Jo)

Ms. Wildgoose's response and updates on the project can be found here.

I don't understand what you mean chris...

"Well - David and book 6 which (before the press start up again with the writer's block stories) is flowing like a mountain stream."

book 6 which is flowing like a mountain stream...this sounds optomistic to me.

Yeah, actually 'flowing like a mountain stream' is encouraging.  However, hearing that her son is keeping her tremendously behind on other things is not so much.  Ah well.  What I really want is an interview with hints.

Yeah, but I got the idea after reading it, about the coment about the press making up the writters block again that maybe she was going slower then she'd hoped. It may be flowing out, but maybe not flowing out as fast as she wants. Like to me it sounds like she is hoping to have it not be so long, and trying to encurage us to wait and what not, but it sounds like she has doubts it will be a quick release no matter how fast it may be flowing. I am probably wrong, but that's just what I see.
