Does anybody ever remember a time that the 1st page has almost 2 weeks of posts visible?

At least the next movie will be out soon and we can all bash it - but we are either out of questions, or book 5 has taken some of the shine off the apple and people are losing interest.

Could be both.

Although I can't really picture a bunch of threads to bash the movie, maybe a few though.

Ah well, at least we have that JK Rowling chat coming up. Maybe that will give us some new insight and light a fire under ourselves to be creative in our theories...

it is kind of dead point now, because most of the people have read book five a few times now and take a break. I am certainly none of those people. I could never stand a break from the books...

Interesting, Dad Eye.  I don't remember seeing such a span of time visible on the board before, either.

I feel that we have hit a point where futher speculation is sort of pointless.  Mad Eye's board theories have been great as they are summarizing what we've been saying for quite a while.  However, until we have some new information (a book title, some little hint, ANYTHING), we can't exactly formulate any new theories or opinions.  I do have high hopes that something interesting will come from the JKR chat.  It does seem like it might be a good time for her to throw her fans a bone.

Amen to that Sandy...

I am not as down on book five as some.  To me, its just different.  It was not as spectacular as book 4, but to me, it was more about Harry's internal struggle. (I have worn my first copy pretty throughly.)

The list of questions post today gave me some new ideas for the theory summaries, running a bit dry there.

I think that it had alot to do with Book 5 being a disappointment - we really didnt have too much to talk about, nothing that we anticipated was answered so none of the old theories could really be re-hashed and added to and any new stuff.... well there wasnt enough (thus the amount of newbie bashing that took place for doubling up on threads).... fingers crossed we'll get something soon!
