Wow... brings up a flood of warm nostalgia. Thats exactly how I imagine the three broomsticks.

With that three broomsticks picture, I want to know who that shady guy behind Harry is. He looks suspicious.

I originaly thought that guy behind them was a girl lol!

Well, Muggle Net said that it was a folder cover. I wonder which book the art supposed to go along with since we see The Three Broomsticks in PoA, GoF, and also OotP. Then again it could just be random artwork in general by Ms. GrandPre, and had that shaddey character their since shaddy characters tend to take notice of Harry, IMO. But who knows.

And if I remember correctly from that Mary Grandpre interview I posted a few months back, she doesn't really communicate with JKR at all, so my guess is you can rule out it being a hint or clue for the next book at all.

I think these are new pictures for old books.

Look at the 3 broomsticks. I think this is from PoA. It's snowing outside (even though I don't recall it snowing on their visit) but Ron and Hermione have coats and Harry doesn't. Using the tunnels, shown on the Marauder's Map, he wouldn't need a coat. I think that the girl's face in front is Rosemerta (sp?).

The next picture is Harry getting B-day cards, has the calendar that he marks the days to his return, and look on the bed: it's Hagrid's book for teaching Care of Magical Creatures.

The 3rd picture could be from the 1st book, but I don't remember the Christmas scenes from the other books. Harry is opening a cracker, Ron is there, Fred is there (the big "F" on his sweater) and I assume that the other kid is George. Hermione isn't there. I don't remember if she stayed there for PoA or not, but she wasn't there for Christmas in the 1st book. And, I can't tell who is sitting next to Hagrid. Someone in a top-hat, and that sounds familiar. Doesn't Fudge where a top-hat? He would have been there for PoA.

So, I think that all 3 might be from PoA. This begs the question: WHY? Is there going to be a special edition coming out? Did she just release these to help keep interest up?

If it counts for anything, Muggle Net said the first two were covers for folders and the last one is a postcard. But good eye, Dad-Eye!
