Obviously we can't technically "bet". But I thought I would start up a thread for us Hockey fans that need some extra incentive to root for NHL teams.

The idea is to choose 2 teams that will make it to the finals, 1 from each division.

I will chose Toronto and Detroit

Hard to say. I'd like to see Calgary beat Vancouver at least - the vancouver refs are playing VERY cheap and letting the canucks push the goal and score - not to mention their whole take on the Bertuzzi incident. I know the Flames suck too badly to make the finals though.

Leafs - don't want to see them advance. I hate Toronto too much.

The Devils are the ones I'd ordinarily put my money on but they're losing their second game right now.

Who I think will get to the finals: The Stars and the Canucks.

Sho I'd LIKE to see - the Flames and the Devils. Jay is a big Devils fan but the roster neevr puts NJD here so if they play off it'd be a great chance for me to get him to a game after I go in debt for several years to pay for it.

We beat the Stars in overtime, so we're up 3-1. One more game and we're advancing further to our goal...

Well, I'm not a huge HOCKEY fan in general, but I am a Red Wings fan. I watch as long as they're playing. And, right now, I'm hoping they make it past the first round.

I'm hoping the Red Wings make it out of the first round, too...I want to see the Avs wipe the ice rink with them. I want the Avs to humiliate the Red Wings so badly that the Wings will be crying about it on the news for a week...
Revenge will be sweet should we meet...

Well...I use to really keep up with the NHL as hockey is the only sport I enjoy. But, I haven't paid much attention to hockey in the last three years or so. I really don't even have a clue who is in the playoffs or what the team standings are. I am originally from northern Ohio where people tend to be loyal to Detroit teams. However, I never really had a "favorite" team. I always liked Kevin Stevens though! Is he still around??

Dammit! Leafs had so much incentive, 2 straight shut-outs by eddie beflour, and bam 4-1 sens. So the series is tied 2-2. This matchup is really heated, because Toronto and Ottawa are obviously in the same province, not far apart either.

You should here the songs on the radio, mostly bashing sens cause i live on the opposity side of toronto. But this matchup is very hot/tight. Riley do you notice this(your from hamilton correct).

2 songs are out that own me.

Adam Sandler's chanaka song was remade into "The stanely cup will never go to...Ottawa"
(the song)

and a remake of stings song "Ill be watching you"(every shot you take, every save you make, ill be watching you....oh maple leafs...you belong to me...)

Yeah, how the Bruins managed that, not even I'm sure...

Well, we're off to San Jose...dammit. I was hoping for an early humiliation of the Red Wings. Oh well, we can still get our chance since the Red Wings did advance. I just want to get them soon so we can pound them into the ice until they're screaming for their mothers...

Yeah! that is so weird! I hear it too lol... the thread opened, and i heard that voice, and thought.. WTF? Is that Adam Sandler... then I saw Locke's thread, and wondered if he had somehow uploaded the song to the board.
