Who here has played Grand Theft Auto III? Now when you listen to the radio, does anyone listen to the station "Chatterbox"? It's freaking hilarious! Okay, well the point to this is on one of the radio station's commercials, it is for pet's delevered to your house overnight. Now, my PS2 is right next to my PC and my brother is currectly playing GTA3 and I just heard the commercial, and at the end they say "Go to pets over ngiht dot com!" Well, check it out, the video game producers bought that domain name and made a web site for it... http://www.petsovernight.com Check it out lmao!

Classic, helarious. I play GTA3 VC every day, and we always listen to that station, funny stuff.

That was great. I never noticed that commercial when playing GTA3...damn. Then again, I usually play Vice City, which unfortunately isn't as good as GTA3, but at least I can get through the missions there without problem.

You know, I've never bothered with missions on Vice City, I've only played the missions on GTA3.

And for anyone who hasn't heard yet, GTA: San Andreas is out in October! I can't wait!

What I love doing is walking into people and seeing how they yell at you. Those quotes are priceless.

Vice City has great missions, so I do them. Well, many missions are stupid, but I love needing to drive around the city looking for a pizza boy to kill...am I depraved? Nah.

Yeah, I know about the new GTA coming out. I have it marked...mostly because they're advertizing it a lot down here, which is weird.

I haven't seen a single advertisement. Just one little PS2 case with a white paper with black marker saying GTA: San Andreas coming in October. But, it is definatly something I can't wait to get!

Actualy at a store a few towns away there is a three pack for $20 of GTA, GTA: London, & GTA 2 for the original PS. I want to get it because I've only tried GTA 3 and GTA: VC. Are they any good?

Not really. The original GTAs are like most PS1 games- the violence is REALLY toned down and the controls are much more difficult. Plus, they don't have the same quality in gameplay. With the original GTA, you might as well be playing an NES game. Don't get me wrong, they are fun overall, but just not worth spending money on when you have GTA III and GTA: Vice City. 10 minutes into them and you'd just end up kicking them out and replacing them with the PS2 games.

Iv never played gta III, iv been meaning too, but iv never got a chance(tired of the ivs?)

I always assume that in most cases with games "newer is better". I know this isn't fail safe, but i love the 80s music.

It would really kick but tho, if they made one in the 70s era, i would fly to england and play the game with kitch, just so we could listen to the music, while cruising in a 72 Cutlass Supreme.

Actually, in video gaming, I find that newer is only better about half the time...when it comes to sequels. Completely original and new games do tend to be better. But with sequels, there's a reason that there are even follow-ups, and that is because the first game was good enough to get another to the series. Take Soul Reaver. Blood Omen was not too good to play, but the plot was interesting enough to give raise to Soul Reaver. Soul Reaver was incredible. It is one of the better games I've ever played. Soul Reaver II, however, was linear and not as great. It was wicked fun to play, don't get me wrong, and had a GREAT plotline...but it just wasn't as difficult or as expansive as Soul Reaver.

Fortunately, Defiance (Soul Reaver III), REALLY got better. Still a bit too linear and not enough side quests, but it was brilliant overall.

I've rented the first Soul Reaver. It was alright, but my friend played it more then I did so I never really got into it to be honest.

I thought Vice City took place in the 70's? Or was that the 80's? I dunno, I didn't pay attention to the plot that much since I never really play it. Either way, I'm fairly sure it took place in the past where as GTA III takes place in today's day and age (well more or less when it came out). Personaly I like the 3rd better because I don't really like the cars in Vice City. I like the newer cars better. But the down side to the 3rd is no motercycles, and you you can't beat up cars and smash them with your fists. Oh yeah and in VC you can pop tires lol.

A good series of games that goes along with the theorie that sequals are basically hit or miss is Tomb Raider. The first game was really good. The second was good too, I guess I'd say as good as the first. The 3rd was decent, not so much as good as the first two I think though. Now the 4th and 5th changed around the whole ionventory system and it got rid of her mansion as the training course so that pissed me off. But the 6th game not only has a brand new inventory system, newer then even teh 4th and 5th, and it also doesn't have the mansion (and the training level is more of a freaking pain in the ass then anything else), but it also changed ALL of the controlls around to the point where it drops the value of the game play because you are so used to the controls in all of the first 5. The game's plot is alright, graphics are great, and it has huge areas for levels and worlds, but the controlls take so much fun away from the 5th game that it really only ties with the first two I think.
