HP chapter review

Several months ago, someone came on the board and tried to organize a chapter by chapter discussion of the books.  (Can't remember who it was).  Anyway, they did one chapter and that was all.  I'm just out of ideas for the "Theories" thing, although I'd take suggestions and do more if anyone was an idea.  But, I thought maybe we could revive the idea of a chapter discussion if people are interested.

I think the plan was that someone would summarize the chapter, so that you wouldn't HAVE to re-read it, if you didn't feel like it, then it would be open for discussion.  I might be possible to do more than one chapter at a time.

I'd give it a go, if people are interested.

Any thoughts? If you like the idea, where should we start?

Sounds good to me. I think we should either start from the beginning or just take book 5.
And a summary would be fine too because many of us are quite busy in school these days.

I LOVED this idea when it was brought up a while back.

And, since we aren't expecting Book 6 anytime soon, I think we have time to start from the beginning if we want to.

My hang up on going all the way back is that we have pretty well done those first three books to death.  Even GoF has had a pretty complete work over.  Still, if y'all want to dive in, I say go for it.  It does seem we'll have plenty of time.

Maybe we could take one of the more popular books, one that everyone really likes, and do that first.  If there is interest, we could do more.  After thinking about it, I'm not sure if starting at the beginning is going to spark much discussion.  I'd suggest we start with either OOTP,GOF or POA.

GOF has a LOT in it so it might be more fun to do.

POA would be a good choice with the movie just coming out, cause we could talk about both at once.

OOTP could be good because, I think its the most controversial, due to the whole Harry/angst thing and the death of Sirus.

Comments?

Maybe in light of the upcoming movie we could start with PoA, as a quick review and debate beofre it comes out....then work our way to GoF and OoTP?...Just an idea :op

But after having discussed PoA to death, won't the movie be a lot more disappointing?
