Found this on Muggle Net. It's a letter written to a fan who wrote to whoever gets the letters asking to be considered for a part in GoF. This is the official responce:

----------------------------------------------

Goblet of Fire casting finished?
Emma wrote in to Leavesen Studios regarding a part in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and received the following letter:

Dear (My name) - Which was written in pen/ink by someone!

Thank you very much for your letter

At present we have all our requirements filled for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. However, should this situation alter in the future your details are on file to be referred to. Unfortunately we cannot accept applications outside of the United Kingdom.

Casting for Order of the Phoenix will not begin until next year and I can only suggest for you to look out for further notices on the official Harry Potter Website. In the meantime I hope you enjoy the next film - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - when it is released this June.

I would like to thank you again for sending in your application and your interest and enthusiasm.
Wishing you all the best for the future!

Sincerely

Fiona Weir (Also written in her own handwriting)

If this relates to the main parts as well as extras, it could be that we are just waiting on WB to announce who will play Fleur, Cho, Viktor and the other characters.

Update: Casting rumours
Warner Brothers has confirmed that their casting department are very close to making final decisions on key Goblet of Fire characters, but are not quite ready to announce them yet. When we receive more information, we'll let you know. The staff would like to thank Warner Brothers for replying to our enquiry so quickly.

I think the same kids are doing GoF...but I'm not sure. I'd be happy if they weren't, but it's mostly the script writers and directors who've blown the movie, so I don't think anyone else could do better in their situation.

As for annoying newbie, the only thing that might put you in that category is your grammar. We're not the English police here and you can type the way you feel, but remember that it is everyone else who has to read what you write, and if you make it difficult by leaving out periods, capitalizations, etc., people begin to ignore your posts in favor of something easier to read.

Again, you are free to type however you want, just know that other people react differently to posts that are easy to read versus posts they have to decipher.

Ok awesome thankyou. As of now you will notice a difference in my typing because i really like this site, and i really don't want to be annoying! And also thanks for not being harsh about it. I'm a teenage girl and spend alot of time chatting on the net to my friends, so naturally my grammar isnt the best. But thanks for answering my question, i hope the cast members do stay the same just because they've proven to be good enough and we've all become accustomed to them now.

ARGH!!! Forget about spelling and grammer! You defended the original cast!! Die you newbie scum!!! Next, you'll probably tell us that you thought the director did a great job. That just may get you assigned a permanent annoybie title

Just kidding (really), welcome aboard.

I thought I'd welcome you although I'm probably a bit late.

WELCOME!!!

I agree with DJ though because it would be strange to see new actors when you're used to the old ones. It doesn't matter that much though because I'm not sure if I'll watch GoF anyway. I mean, they'd have to cut so much to fit it into one movie that it would really, really, REALLY suck. Heck, I'm not even sure if I want to see PoA because of the guy they picked to play Lupin.

Yeah, I'm fairly sure that everyone returning in Goblet of Fire as a character will be the returning cast member also and not someone different. I have read a few months back (can't remember where or exactly when, so take this as you will) that because they didn't end up spitting out one movie a year every year that the kids are getting older faster then their characters so they would have to get new kids towords the end. They sugested Goblet of Fire or Order of the Phoenix as the cut off, but if you ask me I doubt it will happen. I mean they got a bunch of 60 year olds to play 30 year olds. So if you ahve someone playing someone half his age, then for another character what is another 2 years really? Personaly even though I wasn't all that pleased with their acting talents I do want the original cast to stay through it all, or if not then as long as possible. Even if the acting sucks baddely I hate seeing new faces in old parts. Now if they want to recast then wait a few years after Warner Brother's ruins the last of the 7 films and then go and remake them all with someone who will get them right to begin with. That's just my opinion.

Ok, im probably going to get hammered for this... but i didn't mind the cast. Sure, they weren't particularly the best acting wise, but they looked enough like how i imagined, and Ron and Hermione i think played their characters well. It was only the fact that Harry was portrayed as i bit more of a dork then i thought he was from reading the book, which was dissapointing because you naturally want to like him and see him as a sort of heroic figure.

By the way - thanks guys for your welcomes! I'll try not to hold the title of annoying newbie scum for much longer

Oh don't worry about it, everyone is free to like whatever they like and not like whatever they don't. If you look at them as independent films not based off of a book they were alright, but if you look for every detail to compair the book to it then you learn to really not care for them that much at all.

Hey DJ don't worry, I am in the minority around here as well. I think the movies are okay. Sure some of the children's acting leaves something to be desired, but for the most part I think they are farily decent. As a matter of fact I just watched CoS last night when I got home from the Bookstore! I always describe the movies as the "cliff notes" version!

I would love to see a new ron harry and hermione for ootp. Cause the characters do change a lot and I for one cant imagine any of the current actors/actresses playing them. I think they didn't do too horribly as the "young trio," but I cant see them giving the older characters any justice whatsoever. Unless they get better... lots better... and Rupert Grint goes on the Atkins diet for a year and grows. Rons suppposed to be tall and lanky! not chubby!

whoa! are you serious?? the thought of ron being chubby never crossed my mind! I don't think he is at all. And they are all growing from what i've seen, the boys especially will go through their growth spurts soon, and by the looks of the trailers for POA, it looks like they're well under way.

I watched CoS last night aswell! hehe, thats funny. I watched it with my little brother, and remembered how much i loved it. If you don't watch it expecting it to be great, it's not too bad. It's just a kids movies, the books will always be better but it's cool to have something visual to add to it.

Oh, the music's great there's no doubt about that. Music is what i live and breathe and i think John Williams did a brilliant job at making the pieces very evokative, so when i hear the music i can easily picture the castle and the mystical happenings inside...

Your kidding right? John Williams is very talented, but I think his work on HP is probably the worst he has ever done. It made it "child like"(Don't even start plz, HP is far from "child") It sounded more like an alien movie then a movie about magic. Especially "hedwig's theme", barney could have gave you the same results. Although it is not bad, it is his worst, and i bet he knows it.

Dj this is no shot at you, but do you listen to music? I mean "music". I listen to every style of music minus country(it isn't music, it is whinning, or making love

I played in a Concert Band, and a Jazz Band for 4 years. I know almost all the music John Williams, James Horner, Hanz Zimmer...ect have ever done. I'm just saying from my experience, i'd say it was trash. I guess music is interpreted differently by different people. That is ok.

Hey Locke. It's cool, i didn't take it as a 'shot' at me, but yes i do listen to music and like you i play saxophone in concert band, jazz band, and orchestra. Plus i sing in choir, and with a small group, not that that has anything to do with this though. In fact we played the Harry Potter suite in band last year, and i never got sick of it.

I think it's wonderful though that you think it's trash, because music was made as you said for people to have different reactions to, and if it were a universally great piece of music then it wouldn't be anything but a hypnotic trance!

So i totally respect you not liking it, but personally i think it's beautiful, but as i said, we'll have to agree to disagree!

Ah, the John Williams debate.

I love almost everything John Williams does - most of it gives me goose bumps!

For movies, he uses a theme styling (there's a person's name attached to the official word for this, but I don't have my disks with me) that connects you to the scene. In Star Wars, Luke has his own theme, as do Leia, Han, Yoda, the Empire, the Force, etc. The music playing in the background often matches the main focus of the scene.

He's done this in most of his films. I was so excited when I heard that JW would be doing HP - it was another positive sign that the movies were going to be epic. When the trailers first came out, and I heard that title theme, I felt sure that we were bound for a great movie and an awesome soundtrack.

However, that trailer music, later to be called Hedwig's Theme (not the Prologue piece, that one is too weak), is one of only a couple of pieces that make me feel like I'm inside the movie when I listen to it. And, c'mon... Hedwig's Theme? Why is it called that? Call it Hogwart's Theme or even Harry's Theme. That piece shouldn't have anything to do with Hedwig - unless JKR told JW something about the end of the series that indicates that Hedwig is the real star and hero of the books!

And, unlike Locke, I like the Hedwig's Theme piece - alot! I just can't stand that it was named what it was. I feel that it has great depth and range and when it plays at the opening of the movie, I still get goose bumps. Sure, the parts where it sounds like Schroeder is playing it on his toy (grand) piano are a little child-like, but I think that it helps to add to the story - a young boy having to grow up fast in a strange new world.

Most of the other music was okay, but certainly not up to JW standards. I got the feeling that he is either getting tired of making movie music or that he just didn't take this one too seriously. The only theme in the track list is Hedwig's, of which I already ranted about. Nobody else has a theme. Voldy, Hermione, Ron, Hadrig, D'dore, even Harry, all without themes.

He might be getting tired of doing this stuff. In Star Wars - Phantom Menace, it didn't sound like he was trying very hard there either, although there were more themes. SW - Attack of the Clones was a big improvement, but HP - CoS was still dissappointing, although it did seem to have darker, more adventureous parts to it.

In HP, the main part of Hedwig's Theme, the part that everybody recognizes as "the Harry Potter music", is repeated in many of the other pieces. So why wasn't it applied properly?

Here's what I think he should have done with some of the tracks.
Original My Way
1. Prologue Ending Credits
2. Harry's Wondrous World Hogwart's Theme
8. Mr. Longbottom Flies Harry Flies!
9. Hogwarts Forever/Stairs (should have been played during the feast and should be more mixed up than it is)
10. Ridgback/Change of Seasons (the Change of Seasons piece should be Hedwig's Theme. And how does Norbert get his own theme?)
17. Face of Voldemort Nothing in this piece that can be made into a theme - but Voldy should have one.
19. Hedwig's Theme Harry's Theme and Opening Titles

I love the Quidditch and the Chess Game pieces. The other pieces that I didn't change are "okay", and make good filler but I think that many things could have had themes and been done to JW's traditional excelence.
