Probably not is too weak of language for me. Definitely not is closer. And I must say that I hope everyone boycotts opening day weekend in protest of the plan to have only one movie for GoF.

I don't see movies on opening weekend anyway. The only premiere I've ever seen is Pokémon the movie (yes, you may lagh at me).
Like I said, for a number of reasons (among them are David Thewlis and Gary Oldman) I'd rather skip seeing the movie at all but if my family doesn't drag me to see it in the theater, I'll have to watch it when it comes out on video. Oh, the agony!
Well my choice is that I'll go opening night and be all excited, walk out of the movie theater 2 hours later wondering why I spent two bucks and swear not to see GOF.
But I will. I lead a sad and sorry life.

Good God Erica! Two dollars to see a movie? Where the heck do you live? My theater(s) are up to $8 now.
I will definetly see the movie, but Helen, you will pleased to know that I am not going opening weekend. Me and group of fellow employees are going to Chicago (Navy Pier) to see it on the IMAX screen about two weeks after the opening, and my "little" over-zealous, religious freak of a fellow worker was NOT invited! Well, it is not like she would go even if she were invited, but not inviting her was a matter of pride!

I'll say answer B, but I'll add in I'm hoping for the best but know to expect the worst. I don't plan on reading PoA again before I see it so I can't compair it to anything, and I'm just going to judge it on itself. Maybe that way I'll only be dissapointed with the acting capability since I'll be pushing the book out of mind. And maybe I'm wishing for to much. But I definatly won't go opening weekend.
Yeah, where are you from that you're movie theater is $2.00? Hell, I'd even like Sevvie's $8.00! Up in my area of Mass, the two movie theaters I go to is Randolph and Taunton. Randolph is $6.00 before 6:00 PM, and after 6:00 PM it's $9.75 for opening weekend shows, and $9.25 for older movies. At Taunton it's $6.00 before 6:00 PM, and after that it's like $8.75 I think. Personaly I like Randolph better because the theaters are always cleaner, more seating room, reclining chairs, more comfy chairs, MUCH MUCH MUCH larger theaters, stadium seating, 3 floors, and good food (but as expected over priced just like the tickets). But Taunton has a members card that is free, and every time you use it it gives you points. After so many points it gives you free pop corn, soda, and tickets so. And it's closer, and plus the tickets are cheaper.
to be completely honest, im an a). Yes, you may think it's horrible and sad and deserves torture but i love the movies. I think it's because i go in just knowing my imagination is coming to life. No, they are not the best movies in the world, but for what they are, i love them. For me - it's just a glimpse at a world i have tried to put together in my mind, right infront of me. And i love it!

I'm going to see it, maybe on opening weekend if can get tickets. I'm not sure which choice I'd pick. I do want to see it, but I'm not jumping out of my chair with excitement.
I'm somewhere between a and b
my main reason for wanting to see this one is Emma Watson... grrowl
fred/george: well we're off to beat some bludgers
harry: Your going to go play quidditch?

I am also an a). I actually like the movies. No they are not my favorite (actually they are way down the list) but it gives me something to do while Im waiting for the next book. I get so frusterated when it takes them so long to get out and so I watch the movies as a recolation.
btw Lee, you like emma? shiver

"Definitely," said George.

What's wrong with you people? You're all like the movie is going to be the worst one all because of the new director and blah blah blah blah blah....Don't judge it now. Go when you can unless you hated all the movies, than just do what you nrmally do or go pay your 10 (yes, for me, the little Lake County Indiana girl just wanting to see any movie unless you're going to IMAX like me and Sev ((WHOO HOO!!! SOMEONE WHO LIVES IN THE CHICAGO AREA!!! YEAH!!!)) where its more expensive), and go see a different movie.
I'm an A. I see the movie than judge to se if it sucks or no.t If I'm disappointed in it, I'll curse the theatre. If it's goo,d I'm gonna bash all ya'll meanies who aren't seeing it. (Okay, maybe not. I'm not that mean.)
BTW, GOF is going to be only one movie. They're just cutting a lot of crap out, although, I wish they just stopped at the third onw, now that they'll so need to get new kids for the movies since the 3 look like they're 18 now.
i'd say i'm a b. I'll go see it sometime, although i may have to wait, cause i live way in the county, and the only theater w/in a half hour from my house is horrible(one time they actually forgot to start the movie, and after they finally did, they burned the reel). I don't think HP is worth driving an hour for, but i might go to the crappy one sometime.

In movies they always get older acters to play younger roles, because younger acters look about 8 on tv. I know a girl who's 16 who played a 12 year old on a show here in Australia, so that's what you get. But the actors are practically at the right casting age, just because of the half-year delay between the expected release of POA, they mightr b 6 months older.. but six months?? who cares! i don't, hey if kirstin dunst can play a 17 yr old anythings possible.

Hmmm... I'm not as down on the movies as some. I think they did a tolerable job of telling the story of SS and COS. The acting of the kids was nothing great. The acting of the other characters, such as Hagrid, Snape, McGonagall, Dumbledore, Lucius...were good. The movies, so far have cut across the surface and not delved into the meat of the long term plot.
I don't expect to have the same reaction to POA. The first two books and the first two movies are more PG/childrens fare. I think as the story progresses, it (in movie form) needs a different approach. That may be why different directors have been choosen for POA and GOF.
I will see the movie. I will not see it opening night. I am looking forward to it, because I'm interested in the topic. I am curious about it, even though I am skeptical about what the final product will be. I am willing to accept some artistic license with the plot if it doesn't corrupt the important themes and ideas.

I can't wait for the movie to come out . I am definetly an a. I have seen a preveiw of the scene where Hermione punches or slaps Malfoy. (In the preveiw it lokks like she punches him)I just might go see it on opening night. Alana

I'll probably go see it out of curiosity, but I have no clue when we'll get there. We don't go to movies that often and it is rare for us to see one even the week it opens. Forget about opening night.
I don't hate the films. As I have said before, I've gone into them with lower expectations because it is so rare to see a movie that even approaches the quality of the book. Still, I do have some reservations about PoA. The promotional shots, etc. have not been all that awe-inspiring, I must say. Well, no way to know until I see it, I guess.
I am a huge fan of movies... and Rupert Grint... and I really liked the trailers [even though Hermione keeps 'stealing' Ron's lines] so I can't wait for PoA!
P.S. I am back... after... erm... a year? LOL. I have no idea when I was here for the last time...

Wow, Milka, you haven't been here in ages. Good thing Miriam, came back as 'Loki', or else i'd be confused again. Dunno why, but I always got Milka, and Mirium confused, lmao.
I'd have to agree with lee, with the between a, and b. I want to see it, but not really badly. There are a bunch of things, i'm looking forward to in early June, and PoA, is near the bottom of that list.

Good lord, Milka! You were even missing the last time I dissapeared from here!!! How've you been???
Anyway, I can't wait to see the movie, mainly because POA is my favriote book in the series so far. I just hope that the new director isn't going to ruin this one as much as the other two were ruined. lol.
