Okay, this may sound farfetched, and I don't feel strongly about it and I'm ceretainly not sure on it but I think there may have been a hint in the Sorting Hat's song in OotP. It states, "For were there ever such friends such as Slytherin and Gryffindor?" Obviously they didn't stay friends. It most definitly can be argued Harry and Ron are the most close friends in the series. I thought it might mean that something may happen in the last two books that end Ron and Harry's friendship, perhaps something that may cause Ron to betray Harry. I don't feel that it will definitly happen, and if I had to bet a million dollars on it I'd say it wouldn't happen but I just thought it was possible.

Your right, that is far fetched. We've had quite a few far fetched tails here, anyway, so it doesn't matter. If Harry and Ron break apart, I doubt it has anything to do with that song. I don't see any comparison between Slytherin and Gryffindor and Harry and Ron. Plus, we get Harry having a fight with one of his two friends every single book. It's becoming redundant by this point.

I don't see that happening. Sorry. Ron is just way to nice to betray his best friend. Yes, they've gotten into fights but going to the dark side?! I don't think so.
I think the audience would respond very negatively to this happening, the same way they would have if the rumoured death in book 5 turned out to be Dumbledore, you cant just break away the two leads in the last books, it would leave you dissatisfied.

I'd have preffered to see Hermione go than Sirius, and she's more of a lead than him - but I agree, Ron going evil would be stupid. If anyone's going evil it's Percy. There's more hints to that happening.

Excuse me, bet have you not read the books? Its everything about friendship, and how Harry has comed so close to someone, Ron was the first friend Harry ever had, and he has put everything at stake everytime Harry has got an idea. Let me remind you that in almost every book, Ron has faced dangers he would never have done, if not his best friend wanted his support. Even if Harry is a exccelent wizard, like he himself said in OotP, he had loads of help. His friends has allways been there for him, because they put everything in their friendship. I will eat my cat before Ron betrays Harry, and let me tell you, I love my cat ;P

Well, there actually could be some truth to that statement. The weasleys are pure bloods, and they might just be related to Gryffindor. If Harrys green eyes mean that he is related to Slytherin, then it could mean that Harry and Ron are the best of friends, which we already knew. but I doubt that would be it because DD said that Voldie was the last remaining decendant of SS. But then mabye DD doesn't know Harry is related to him. So many possibilities.

"You too are about to learn what happens to wrongdoing at my school."
Filch cracked his whip threatingly.
"You know what? said Fred. "I dont think we are. George, I think we've outgrown
full-time education."
"Yeah, I've been feeling that way myself," said George lightly.
"Time to test our talents in the real world, d'you reckon?" asked Fred.
"Definitely," said George.
And before Umbridge could say a word, they raised their wands and said together,
"Accio Brooms!"...
"Give her hell from us, Peeves!"
"I didn't know you could read."

I back up sukkerbro 100%, it's all about friendship and being there for your loved ones, which is a prominant message being underlayed to the readers. Yes, there will be some back-stabbing-ment, but not with ron and harry.
