Now that we’re done naming all the things we didn’t like about the movie, let’s talk about what we’ve liked. Remember, ONLY positive things on this thread. For criticizing and arguing go to other threads. There are enough of those.

So, here’s my list:

*The Knight Bus scene (especially Stan Shunpike)

*The Dementor scene in the train – creepy!

*The Monster Book of Monsters

*The Whomping Willow

*To my surprise David Thewlis (though he still doesn’t look like Lupin) and Gary Oldman are quite good actors

*Professor Trelawney

*Fred and George being funnier in this movie

*The marauder’s map

*The time travel scene

*The music

I liked the Jamaican head on the Knight Bus. Although it was added in I think it was still really funny. I also liked how it had good humor. Like that scen where Ron's having a nightmare and Harry says "You tell those spiders Ron" The way he said it was hilarious. Also the scenery was better.

I thought Hagrid was good, and got better lines this time. Buck beak was well done and so was the Whomping Willow(It was clever to show it in all seasons).  Sirius was good (lose the tatoos). The sets were good.

Many people sai it lost it's childish humor, but I think the childish humor was brought out more by:

1. "You tell those spiders Ron..." "Oh... okay... I will..." :D tee hee

2. The bird always crashing into the Whomping Willow and the part in the fall when the Whomping Willow has all these leaves and shakes and suddenly they're all gone....

3. "Believe me, I 've looked worse..."

4. "Where did she come from? Did you see her come in?"

5. Fred and George... Gotta love the twin thing.

Plus more!!!

And, the music rocked and my local theater gave out free movie posters. Kewl!

BRILLIANT ACTING!!!

Tom Felton...hot hot hot!!!

Daniel Radcliffe(sorry about this)...hot hot hot!!!

Fred and Georges' hair ROCKED!

Buckbeak looked exactly like the picture on POA American style.

Rupert Grint...great acting, hillarious (not my type).

The whole back in time thing was AWSOME! It was so cool to watch it from a different, secretive angle.

Again...BRILLIANT ACTING!!!

That part when Harry talks about being beaten with a cane...BRILLIANT!

On the Knight Bus when Stans talking about Sirius and he mentions you-know-who and Harry is like all yeah I've heard of them...BRILLIANT!

Dan's acting...BRILLIANT!

When Ron is in Divination and he steals Harry's line about suffering and being happy...BRILLIANT!

When their in DADA and their saying ridicullus and Malfoy's all "this class is ridicullus"...BRILLIANT!

Rupert's acting...BRILLIANT!

Emma's acting...BRILLIANT!

Tom's acting...BRILLIANT!

Okay okay the acting was just all around BRILLIANT!!

And alot of the stuff I couldn't understand the first time I saw it I thought was brilliant the second time around.

BRILLIANT ACTING!!!

Well, I can't agree with all that I read here, but can honestly say these:

Loved the Monster book.
Loved Lupin
Loved the Dementors
Loved Buckbeak
Loved the Choir
Loved the soundtrack
Loved the background stuff.

Um, that's it I think.

Problem with the Heads- it's actually a play off Cuaron's Mexican heritage. Most of the film was off the Day of the Dead.

What I liked: Buckbeak
That's about it.

what I liked:

Sirius
Lupin
Peter, especially his evil wave as he turns into a rat, that was brilliant
Trewlawney
The scenery around hogwarts, beautiful
all the "child humor" scenes mentioned above
The whole time turning sequence
the knight bus
Lupins transformation (not the werewolf itself, but the sequenceof him transforming into it)

fred/george: well we're off to beat some bludgers
harry: Your going to go play quidditch?
fred/george: ...no
