I was in a book store today at my local mall. So for the heck of it I asked if they had any information about her latest work like a possible title, release date, or a description. They told me that in their computer they have her releasing a book this September called "The New Tales of the Vampires". After trying to explain to the guy that NTotV is a series and not a book (Pandora and then Vittiorio ...you don't need to tell me, I know I BUTCHERED that name lol) for about 20 minutes I gave up and walked away. I figured I'd ask him since I haven't really been keeping up to date with book releases and stuff lately. But from what I do remember from Jan, she was supposebly starting something completely new. So I was wondering if you or anybody else here has heard anything about anything yet?

I briefly heard her on the nightly news when I left my house last week. She actually is focusing some of her work now on her past illness (I can't remember what it was, but I think she had cancer).

I've not heard anything on her vampire books other than she completely ended the Chronicles because Lestat was based on her husband, and since her husband died, she didn't want the pain of writing about him anymore. But if she really was attached to her vampires, it would make sense for her to start a completely new series. I just haven't been focusing on it as of late.

Yeah, that's what I heard also, that she completely ended the Chronicles. But I haven't actually finished the Chronicles, and haven't started 'The New Tales...' yet, but I was under the impression New Tales were sepperate from Lestat and the Chronicles, so it wouldn't surprised me if she continued with that series since she only had 2 books in it. But what gets me is that I swear I heard that she said she was starting something completely new (but still sticking to her supernatural ideas), so I'm honestly not sure what to think of what the guy at the book store told me.
