I think that Harry will survive book 7 becuase JKR already has the last chapter of #7 wirtten and she MIGHT write an eigth. Now, wouldn't you think that to have an 8th that the main character(s) will peobably be there? I mean, if Harry does die in #7, then the eigth will be more informational and not too exciting. And plus, then she would have nothing to write about for Harry which would make it a book, not in the series, but just a background book and it would be totally pointless. Anyway, I've lost my idea like 20 times while writing this so if it doesn't make sense, its because its hard to understand. Do you think Harry will survive numero 7?

She has said countless times she will not write an 8th Harry Potter book. Why do people keep insisting that she will or may do so? She isn't going to. What she might do is write another one of the school books for chairity, like she did with Quidditch Through The Ages and also Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.

To answer your question though, I think Harry will not survive the 7th book.

Now, if their were to be a book about the HP world after the 7th book, and if Harry was already dead, and it was a book and not a school book, it would have a purpose. Wouldn't be about Harry, but it would have a point. If it had no point it wouldn't have been made. Not that I think one will ever be made.

I don't think Harry will die. I think he'll kill Voldemort. J.K. Rowling said that if she does write a book 8 it will be right and proper and it should be a book whose royalties go to charity entirely. It could be the encyclopedia of the world of Hogwarts.
