A LOT of theories of the future books

Ive Been looking around and these are some of the theories i've found

Book Six
Confirmed at jkrowling.com: title is Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (HBP for short)

Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail, Scabbers) is supposed to come back when Harry finds the alleged Green Flame Torch that kills all evil and heals all good. I have found a couple places that say the Torch will actually show up in book 7, although these sources seem less reliable. Others have also said that Harry himself is the Green Flame Torch. (Denied by JKR)

Harry and Malfoy team up to fight an evil force.

Lupin's twin will teach Defense Against the Dark Arts and will also be a werewolf. (every one hates him? possibly "not even liked by Malfoy"). For further reference and speculation, look up the Romulus and Remus story of brothers founding Rome. (Denied by JKR)

Harry tries to kill Voldemort himself but is not successful.

While Hermione is in the hospital wing, Harry and Ron fight Voldemort.

Peter Pettigrew takes Harry to Voldemort.

Hermione gets hypnotized and is taken by Voldemort, but Harry saves her.

Hedwig will turn evil. This rumor has had much dispute. Some wonder how an owl turns evil. Some try to explain that she could be an animagus or controlled by Dark wizards in some way, if not by Voldemort himself.

The book will focus on Prof. Snape and we will learn something very important about him.

Ron and Hermione will finally get to be a couple.

Mr. Weasley's car will make a return

Three Gryffindor chasers are leaving us, and Neville may prove he is not that clumsy after all and make the team. Harry however, is the favourite to become the next Quidditch captain of Gryffindor.

Mark Evans, the 10 year old kid Dudley and his gang were beating up in the 5th book, is related to Lily Evans (a.k.a. Lily Potter) and will probably go to Hogwarts next year.

Book Seven
Something HUGE will be revealed about Lily Potter (i.e., the climax of the series!)

On The Connection, a kid asked if Snape would fall in love. Rowling appeared to have started to say yes, but then stopped She said she was extremely stunned at that question, and that we would find out why in #7

J.K. Rowling has already written the last chapter of the book. In an interview with the Today Show and that we will "find out what happens to the survivors." Some think we will be seeing a dark, very dark ending of the series...

Rowling has also confirmed that the last word in the book is "scar."

Professor Lupin plays a big role.

Hermione becomes Head Girl

Called Harry and Forest (maybe Fortress) of Shadows? (Denied by JKR)

Harry and Draco will team up to fight an evil force. (Again?)

We might see an heir to Voldemort.

We will find out more about Harry's grandparents.

The secret to Harry's riches will be revealed.

Two people get married (a student and a teacher but not to each other). High speculations rest on Snape and Hagrid as possibly the teacher. Hagrid to Madame Maxime and Snape to the possible mystery-woman Rowling hinted at on the Connection.

Harry goes to Azkaban. Not sure why... not even sure if he's there because people think he did anything wrong.

Peter Pettigrew returns.

Harry and Hermione go on a date.

Snape is "redeemed"?

Harry will watch Dumbledore die (killed possibly by Voldemort).

Harry will die. Much dispute on all sides of this rumor; check out message board for discussion.

J.K. Rowling has confirmed (in an interview) that "Harry and Draco will hate each other untill they both die." Okay, allow me to repeat this: '...they both die.' DIE DIE DIE. She's going to kill off both of them!

During an online chat at Scholastic, JKR was asked: 'What makes some witches/wizards become ghosts after they die and some not?' She replied: "You don't really find that out until Book VII, but I can say that the happiest people do not become ghosts. As you might guess Moaning Myrtle!" (**This is odd, however, because book five gave me the impression that it was simply a choice for wizards. Maybe she'll just expand upon it later with how that choice is often directed by emotions like fear and contentment...**)

Either Book or Both
HARRY AS HEIR OF GRYFFINDOR:

When he tries out his wand in Ollivanders (Book I), red and gold sparks shoot out of it. Red and gold are the colors of Gryffindor House.
McGonagall mentions in the prologue to Book I that Harry's parents lived in Godric's Hollow.
In The Chamber of Secrets, after Harry pulls Godric Gryffindor's sword out of the sorting hat, Dumbledore tells him that, "Only a true Gryffindor could have pulled it out" Could this have a deeper meaning?
Harry was born on July 31st. Under the Zodiac calendar, this would mean his sign is Leo (the lion, which is also the Gryffindor mascot!)
The gems on Godric's sword (see CoS)were red. Could it be possible that they were RUBIES, the birthstone of July? (and Harry was born on July)
The Sorting hat couldn't make up its mind on where to put Harry. It sensed Gryffindor blood in him, but since Voldemort tried to kill Harry, a part of Voldemort went into Harry. So the Sorting Hat sensed both Gryffindor blood and Slytherin blood (kind of) in him.

We learn what Lily and James Potter did for a living - closely connected with why Voldemort wanted them.

Major characters will die.

One of Harry's classmates will become a Hogwarts teacher (Rowling strongly hinted that it wouldn't be Hermione! In fact, this classmate would have to be at least a year older or they would still be a student at the same time they are supposed to be a teacher.)

"The Sorting Hat is more important than it seems in the first three books" - J.K. Rowling

"There is a character who manages to do magic very late in life, but this is very rare in the world I am writing about" - J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter will or will not go over to the dark side; good arguments all around.

The color of Harry's eyes will be important.

Piers Polkiss can speak Parseltounge (since he heard Harry talking to the snake in the zoo).

In an interview with AOL, JKR was asked; "Why stop at seven books when you could write Harry's whole life?" Rowling usually answers in interviews that it is because the stay at Hogwarts is seven years, but this time she said, "I notice you're very confident that he's not going to die!"

Okay, there are rumors about how in some copies of the fourth book, that when Harry and Voldemort's wands did their Priori Incatatem, that Jame's echo came out befoe Lily's, and that it may mean something really important. It has been confirmed that this was simply a mistake and a revised version is what's being printed now. If you have one of the first editions in which this mistake was printed, hold on to it; it may be worth a lot of money someday.

It's rumored that Harry will never marry... It's also rumored that he wont even live past the seventh book, so that may have something to do with it.

Crookshanks is not an Animagus; he is part kneazle. In "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", it says that a kneazle can interbreed with cats, and that if it takes a liking to a witch or wizard, it can make a very loyal pet (Crookshanks and Hermione!) It can also detect unsavory characters (like Scabbers!)- all the signs point to that- plus Crookshanks slightly unusual appearance. (Confirmed by JKR)

The fact that Harry has his mother's eyes will be very important in a future book. As is the fact that her wand was a nice wand for charm work.

Mrs. Norris is an unregistered Animagus.

Peter Pettigrew will save Harry.

We will find out the twelve uses for dragon blood.

The twelfth use of Dragon's blood is oven cleaner! (sorry but this just cracked me up)

Neville a teacher? His name means absent-minded professor. (herbology?)

Voldemort may have a rival in the EVIL BAD GUY department!!! And he could be the HBP!

Could Lupin get/have a love interest? Could James really be the only Marauder that got married?

Petunia will start exhibiting magical tendencies.

A theory is that The Grey Lady of Ravenclaw is actually Rowena Ravenclaw and she knows the terrible secrets of the Slytherin heir (Voldemort), and what to expect when things start going evil.

Titles that are flying around the web for the new Harry Potter books include "Harry Potter and the Alchemists Cell" and "Harry Potter and the Order of Merlin."

The reason that Dumbledore had a 'look of triumph in his eyes' is because Harry told him how Voldy had been "reborn", and now he had a part of Harry in him. This means that he now has human inside him (Hagrid in sorcerer's stone says "I don't know if there was enough human left in him to die"), meaning that now Voldy can be killed and will never come back. I keep hearing that people think that Dumbledore is bad because he had a look of triumph, but I highly doubt this because J.K. already had someone bad disguising themselves with the Polyjuice potion (Moody). She wouldn't do it again to such an important character! That would be boring!

Snape loved Lily Potter. Or Lily Potter loved Snape.

Peter Pettigrew's silver hand will play a role in the death of Remus Lupin.

Lily's status as a possible Death Eater is very much disputed. Canon-based arguments would be nice. JKR denies it.

Snape becomes good when he falls in love with the same person as Harry. Will it be a teacher or student though? Or perhaps a student-teacher?

Warner Bros. patented the following names in the UK patent office: Harry Potter and the Alchemist's Cell, Harry Potter and the Pyramids of Furmat, and Harry Potter and the Chariots of Light. One site says this happened February 26, 2000; another said April 26th without a year. If someone would like to research the full extent of HP title patents, please send a complete list here.

Hagrid will die. The biggest influence of this rumor is the 'Sort of' answer Robbie Coltrane gave when asked if he had signed on for all seven movies. It's a strong hint, but the only one.

Sirius will be back! (He is not dead, just trapped in the veil).

What do you think

I dont agree with all of these ( especially the one about Harry and Malfoy BOTH dying).

okay i didnt read all of these but i probably will eventually. Honestly I dont think Harry and Draco will both die. Harry is the one who HAS to kill Voldemort so he has to live at least that long. Draco (I am sad to say) will probably make it through the books.

interesting therories ihad just read allthese theroies on another site. i just want to give you my congrats on getting them from that site to this one under 5 hours.

good job, luna lovegood.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An odd feeling rose in Harry -- an emotion quite differnt from the anger and greif that had filled him since Sirius's death. It was a few moments before he realised that he was feeling sorry for Luna.
"How come people hide your stuff?" he asked her, frowning.
"Oh...well..." She shrugged. "I think they think I'm a bit odd, you know. Some people call me 'Loony' Lovegood actually."
Harry looked at her and the new feeling of pity intensified rather painfully.
"That's no reason for them to take your things," he said flatly. "D'you want help finding them?"

"Harry and Malfoy team up to fight an evil force."

Two words: NO. WAY.

"Hedwig will turn evil. This rumor has had much dispute. Some wonder how an owl turns evil. Some try to explain that she could be an animagus or controlled by Dark wizards in some way, if not by Voldemort himself."

Ok, that's a dumb theory if I've ever heard one. Now I have a mental image of a crazy snow owl fluttering around Harry's head, scratching his eyes out.

"Ron and Hermione will finally get to be a couple."

This one's kinda obvious IMO.

"Mark Evans, the 10 year old kid Dudley and his gang were beating up in the 5th book, is related to Lily Evans (a.k.a. Lily Potter) and will probably go to Hogwarts next year."

JKR already said that Mark Evans isn't related to Lily and isn't important to the plot.

"Harry and Draco will team up to fight an evil force. (Again?)"

See above.

"We might see an heir to Voldemort."

Please not!

"Harry goes to Azkaban. Not sure why... not even sure if he's there because people think he did anything wrong."

Now that everyone knows that Voldy is back, why would they arrest the one person who can defeat him? Besides, I don't think Azkaban will stay a prison much longer because the dementor's are going to betray the ministry.

"Harry and Hermione go on a date."

No.

"Harry will die. Much dispute on all sides of this rumor; check out message board for discussion."

I would hate it to happen but that's probably how it's going to end.

"J.K. Rowling has confirmed (in an interview) that "Harry and Draco will hate each other untill they both die." Okay, allow me to repeat this: '...they both die.' DIE DIE DIE. She's going to kill off both of them!"

I don't think she meant it that way. What she meant was probably that even when they're 80 years old, they will still hate each other.

"HARRY AS HEIR OF GRYFFINDOR:

When he tries out his wand in Ollivanders (Book I), red and gold sparks shoot out of it. Red and gold are the colors of Gryffindor House.
McGonagall mentions in the prologue to Book I that Harry's parents lived in Godric's Hollow.
In The Chamber of Secrets, after Harry pulls Godric Gryffindor's sword out of the sorting hat, Dumbledore tells him that, "Only a true Gryffindor could have pulled it out" Could this have a deeper meaning?

No, no, NO!! Anything but that! I can't tell you how much I hate the heir of Gryffindor theory. It's such a bloody cliché!

"Major characters will die."

Well, duh! It's a war going on.

"Harry Potter will or will not go over to the dark side; good arguments all around."

That would be dumb if he would suddenly go evil.

"Piers Polkiss can speak Parseltounge (since he heard Harry talking to the snake in the zoo)."

How could that be? He's a muggle. And even though he heard it, doesn't mean he understood it.

"Mrs. Norris is an unregistered Animagus."

No more animals turning out to be unregistered animagi please! That would mean that JKR was running out of ideas.

"The twelfth use of Dragon's blood is oven cleaner! (sorry but this just cracked me up)"

Uhh... right.

"Voldemort may have a rival in the EVIL BAD GUY department!!! And he could be the HBP!"

Ooh, interesting. That would come a bit late though.

"The reason that Dumbledore had a 'look of triumph in his eyes' is because Harry told him how Voldy had been "reborn", and now he had a part of Harry in him. This means that he now has human inside him (Hagrid in sorcerer's stone says "I don't know if there was enough human left in him to die"), meaning that now Voldy can be killed and will never come back. She wouldn't do it again to such an important character! That would be boring!"

Agreed completely!

"Snape loved Lily Potter. Or Lily Potter loved Snape."

I don't think so. He called her a mudblood.

"Snape becomes good when he falls in love with the same person as Harry. Will it be a teacher or student though? Or perhaps a student-teacher?"

How would that make him become good?

"Sirius will be back! (He is not dead, just trapped in the veil)."

Sirius is DEAD! Sorry, but JKR has said this many times. I miss him too and I don't think it's fair that he died but that doesn't change the fact that JKR killed him off.

snape liking lily

i think snape probably did like lily, but not at the time he called her a mudblood. Maybe after lily started going out with james, that could've made snape really jealous.
