Does anyone else finds it a bit wierd that Argus Filch and Arabella Figg both have the initials "A.F", both have an undying love for cats and are both Squibs? Maybe there is something more than we think...

An odd feeling rose in Harry -- an emotion quite differnt from the anger and greif that had filled him since Sirius's death. It was a few moments before he realised that he was feeling sorry for Luna.
"How come people hide your stuff?" he asked her, frowning.
"Oh...well..." She shrugged. "I think they think I'm a bit odd, you know. Some people call me 'Loony' Lovegood actually."
Harry looked at her and the new feeling of pity intensified rather painfully.
"That's no reason for them to take your things," he said flatly. "D'you want help finding them?"

I think the initials are just a coincidence but I think them both loving cats is because they're both Squibs. Maybe Mrs. Norris is actually a knarl (or whatever it was that Crookshanks was) along with Mrs. Figgs cats. Maybe cats can use magical powers that Squibs can't. I wonder why Mrs. Figg needs so many cats? And since Mrs. Figg is a misses I wonder what happened to her husband?

I don't know what happened to her husband. I saw the two of them more as family..maybe cousins/siblings becuase they are both squibs. By the way, are squibs rare in the wizarding world?

I dont think they are any more rare than muggleborn wizards.

"Give her hell from us, Peeves!"
"I'm getting out of here before one of you comes up with another clever idea to get us killed, or worse, expelled!"
Hermione: "Harry, I've been thinking -- you know what we've got to do, don't you? Straight away, the moment we get back to the castle?"
Harry: "Yeah, give Ron a good kick up the--"
Hermione: "Write to Sirius."
--but you get these massive pus-filled boils too," said George, "and we haven't worked out how to get rid of them yet."
"I can't see any boils," said Ron, staring at the twins.
"No, well, you wouldn't," said Fred, "they're not in a place we generally display to the public --"

"Just because you've got the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn't mean we all have," said Hermione.

if it is just a coincidence, why are the first 2 letters of both peoples names exactly the same? i mean the AR and FI part of it. see arabella figg has an Ar in arabella and an Fi in figg. and then argus filch has an Ar in argus, and a Fi in filch. is that also a coincidence?
