J.K. Rowling said that there will be more romance in book 6. I think Ron & Hermione will get together. Who else do you think might hook up?

What about Draco? Maybe him and Pansy.

I think Hermione and Krum will get together early in the book and later Hermione and Ron.... I really want Harry to get a girlfriend but Ginny isn't into him anymore, and I honestly cant picture them "dating" not that they know each other so well.

I think I see it more as Harry and Luna, as for Hermione and Krum, that probably out of the question becuase he was barely mentioned in OotP--if at all. But I do think it will be Hermione and Ron in the end. I don't really see Harry and Ginny becuase she has been struttin' her stuff with quite a few different guys, nor do I think Ron would be too pleased with his best friend dating his younger sister, I mean, not many people like that, but it may be different in the wizarding world...HA!

Yes but Hermione was writeing loooong letters to him which makes me think that maybe they already are "together" and maybe saw each other over the summer.....far-fetched i know but not impossible....

Ron DOES approve of Harry and Ginny. When he found out Ginny wasn't in love with Harry anymore he didn't react very good exactly...And he kept obsessing about her boyfriend, but when she liked Harry it never seemed to bother him.

The long letter is hermione braking up with Viktor..... its mildly obvious. Its also mildly obvious that harry and Ginny will get together. The oddly furtive glance from Ron wasnt that subtle, especially by jkr standards.

Firstly - when did JKR say that there would be more 'romance' in the book?

and oh my god, I am so sick of this question! It seems that every few weeks someone posts this question and its soooo not relevant!
I personally hope that we DONT see any romance or couples or anything of that nature. JKR is not a great writer of romance or teen angst (see the chapter where Cho and Harry are in the coffee shop in OoTP) and I'd much prefer that she not venture there. I'm not interested in Harry or Ron making googly eyes at anyone.... there's no need for it!

I think there should be a little more romance but not much. I think Harry will probably get a girlfriend in book 6 but I dont know who it would be. Maybe someone like Susan Bones? I dont know why I just have this feeling that they'll be together.

Personally, I think Harry has too much on his plate right now to be dealing with a love interest. Perhaps if he survives he might find love. But for now I think he has too much to be getting on with, putting a girlfriend into the the mix will only make things harder for him. Of course, he is teenager so he probably won't even realize that a girlfriend is a bad idea for him right now. Is he is to end up with anyone I am rooting for Ginny. Of all the girls available to him, she is probably the only one who can understand him and his issues.

Ron and Hermione will end up together. I think that is a give-in. I would like to see Fred and George find a couple of hotties to go along with their DragonHide bling-bling!

For the most part I agree with LMM. The whole romance plots need to stay on the back burner (way back) because in the end it is all just superfluous info.

LMM is right I don't think JKR whould ever make it in the romance novel business. And for the record Ron does want Harry and Ginny together. In the last chapter while on the train Ginny says she dumped Michael Corner and Ron tells her to choose better next time and then gives Harry a FURTIVE look then blows up when finds out she "picked" Dean Thomas. Furtive is defined as - 1 Characterized by stealth; surreptitious. 2 Expressive of hidden motives or purposes; shifty

More romance... ugh... could u repharse it any worse?! God, I totally agree with both LMM and Sev.

I think it's a bit obvious that Ron and Hermione will end up together al though I hate the thought of it!

Second, Harry is pretty busy right now and don't forget the entire death of Sirius thing so I don't think he has time for "more romance"

Third, OMG, Ginny and Harry, I don't even wanna think about it! Harry deserves much more than Ginny, i hate the thought of ginny.

JKR has practically told us about Ron and Hermione-that ones a given.
Harry is gonna end up with Luna or Ginny- both girls have past experiances similar to Harry-loads of chemistry.
Fred and George need to find two hot twin girls-that would be hilarious.
I really don't think that JKR is that bad at romance, but we all hate it because it kind of strays from the story and it is kind of unnessesary. Personally I don't hate it though. (Well I did hate the whole Cho thing...die CHO!!!)

"Time to test our talents in the real world, d'you reckon?" asked Fred.
"Definitely," said George.
And before Umbridge could say a word, they raised their wands and said together,

"Fred and George need to find two hot twin girls-that would be hilarious."

um...sister in law...um...eeeeeewwwwwwww?

i have a twin sister nad i could never date her bf's twin brother!

Anyway, i hope harry wises up and doesn't start liking anyone anytime soon. Voldemorts obviously going to go after what he cares for and if he gets another gf, she's snuffed, no doubt. I hate Ginny. I always hater her, and i hope she dies before her and Harry could ever have anything together. I can't stand anything about her...disagree with me all you want, but i will always hate Ginny...and Luna for that Matter...she's just too forced as a character...

I want harry and hermione together...seriously...i don't like the prospects of a relationship between the two because she and ron obviously have a romance between them, but i always liked harry and hermione together...when you think about it, whenever ron's OUT of the picture, the two seem to actually get things done. Like in PoA and OotP...i just like them together...but sigh...its ron and hermione prolly.

Harry can turn gay and go with Snape (slash fan's greatest treasure!) for all i care...as long as he's not with Ginny, i'm fine.

i think dean and ginny, (ginny said she is crushing on him) if noy them then ginny and naville (he is obviously crushing on her & ginny went w/ him 2 the yule ball). i am 99.9 percent sure that harry and luna will date as strange as it seems, harry seemed on the verge of liking her at the end of the OotP (see text signature below). and luna stood by harry all throughout OotP. Ron and Hermionie obviously if you cant see the connection in this relationship then go reread all the books ten times. Cho and Michal Corner (they are already going out). any other ones?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An odd feeling rose in Harry -- an emotion quite differnt from the anger and greif that had filled him since Sirius's death. It was a few moments before he realised that he was feeling sorry for Luna.
"How come people hide your stuff?" he asked her, frowning.
"Oh...well..." She shrugged. "I think they think I'm a bit odd, you know. Some people call me 'Loony' Lovegood actually."
Harry looked at her and the new feeling of pity intensified rather painfully.
"That's no reason for them to take your things," he said flatly. "D'you want help finding them?"

no offence, but i can't stand the whole Luna/Harry theory. I hate it. Harry wasn't beginning to like luna at the end of book 5 imo...simply, he was beginning to be able to tolerate her. In all honesty, if i started to like everyone i've been able to tolerate, i'd be such a whore, lmao. Feeling bad for someone and warming up to them is different than starting to like them. In addition, the whole "she stood by him throughout the book" thing, IMO is not something hinting at a relationship between the two...ron stuck with him throughout the books, and so did hermione and neville. No one's in love there...just one person added to the unconditional friend circle Harry has. If harry knows what's good for him, he'll put off relationships until Voldemort is outta the picture, to prevent the killings of others...but hormones don't listen, and i'm afraid Rowling will have to write more romance...ick. I just don't think it'll be between Harry and Luna...IMO that's just wrong.

What was said in Luna's signature is saying that he feels sorry for her..... I dont like the theory at all, and I mean, I feel sorry for a lot of people but I dont feel romantically attatched to any of them.....I dont think it's possible to feel sorry for someone and like them in a romantic way at the same time.

I just dont see him and someone so spacey and (forgive me for saying it) weird. She has weird thoughts, and acts weird, would JKR even want to give Harry more people thinking he is a lunatic?

Hermione - I think its obvious that Draco has a threesome thing happening with Crabbe and Goyle - why would he bother venturing out of that comfortable little circle?

Harry and Ginny is practically insest so how bout no.

I liked the Harry/Luna but now I really just see them being really good friends.

Harry and Hermione won't date because they have never had an acctual fight and what's a romance without a little arguement.

Harry's gonna die and I don't think he will be dating anytime soon. So that rules him out.

If Cho doesn't die soon I will personally kill her myself...somehow. She goes against everything I believe. Ex: I'm headstrong and she's a little girly "save me I'm so helpless and stupid" emptiheaded git.

You know I think that Giant Squid really has a thing for read heads. First Lily now Ron. By the way how long do squids usually live, cause I have a feelling this one is old.

But in the end Dumbledore will marry Hagrid, Snape and McGonagall will get together, Flitwick and Sprout, Nick and Hermione will relize their love, Ron will marry Aragog, and Mrs. Weasly will be the town bycicle...if you know what I mean.

I do - But will she become the bicycle before or after she leaves Arthur?
Personally I think that Arthur and Lucius have an affair happening - there's just too much tension there to pass it off as a coincidence.

I also heard that the Gringotts goblins throw "free-for-all" parties in the underground vaults at night...

That squid is getting on in age - but age holds no barriers to those who are truly in love.... *gag... wretch*

Ron and Aragog? omg - I cant believe I never saw it before! Yes I can see Ron being deeply attracted to those hairy legs.... lol

Now that's an all-nat-u-ral lover if i've ever heard of one...haha but i think it would be the perfect relationship for ron - falling in love with someone he's absolutely terrified of.

Hey...he had the dream where the spiders made him tapdance..they never said if he was CLOTHED or not in that dream. It could be a sick fantasy of his.

Harry and Hermione have fought plenty...third year is a pure example of that...

I think that Hermione and Ron will hook up near the beginning of the book and eventually Harry will be with luna for a while then they'll break up. As for Harry and Hermione, i totally think they'll be together in the end.

Personally I think Harry's always gonna be awkward around girls. I hate fanfics where they portray Harry as the guy who gets all the girls and Ron as a hopeless loser with women. I think Ron will be more popular with dates as he doesn't have a life like Harry's. I think the romance thing is so stupid. I doubt Harry is gonna be like most 16 and 17 year olds where all they want to do is make out with their girlfriends. I mean think of how shy Harry was when he was on his date with Cho? Is it normal to be that shy on a date at the age of 15?

how can he be gay if he is so into girls???

Harry is suppressing his homosexual tendencies. He tries to force himself to like Cho - but notice in the cafe he didnt even want to look at her and was very very shy.... somewhat uncharacteristic of a 15 year old!

and just to make my point clearer to you - I said that in FICS (fanfiction) Harry is portrayed more often than not, as being gay!

lmao..... well you could probably visit

www.thisiscrap.com
www.harryandronaregayloverswithoccasionalrompsinvolvingthegiantsquid.com
www.jkrshouldneverattempttowriteanotherromancesceneeveragain.com

They are all associated sites.

Sorry, but as I've already said above. I really couldnt care less about who 'gets together' with whom. HP to me is not about Romance and JKR is not great at writing romance scenes. but what annoys me most is that say every 2 weeks someone posts a new thread asking who everyone think will get together - and the responses are always the same. Choose one from below:
Ron/Hermione
Harry/Luna
Harry/Ginny
Harry/Hermione
I hate Cho I never want her to get together with Harry
Luna/Ron

It drives me insane. I realise teenage girls think Dan Fatcliffe is gorgeous (wretch wretch), but Puh-Lease think of it in the context of the book!!

You'll have to excuse me if my facts are a little screwy, circumstance wise, cuz i lost my third book, but when hermione turns in the Firebolt, she and harry and ron have a fight...she and ron fought yes, but she and harry also fought...also, when harry finally goes up to her after the crookshanks incident, she blows up at him for taking ron's side...thus another fight.

In the forth book, harry blows up at her for doubting his honesty like ron did. It seemed that he was really mad at ron, and because she said maybe ron was right, he was angry with her as well...

In the beginning of the 5th book, Hermione doesn't tolerate Harry's woe is me attitude and advises him to "stop being so misunderstood". In addition after telling Hermione about seeing Voldemort with Avery in a dream, she says that he was better off not seeing it and that he should take up Occlumency again...He is so angry with her he doesn't speak with her for the rest of the day, which happens a lot. THis "anger" that lasts for the rest of the day happens a lot with him nad hermione.

I just like them together.

I have my books but I'm not gonna look anything up so I'll just reply to what you mentioned.

With the Firebolt it was more of a Harry and Ron vs. Hermione fight. It wasn't really a one on one arguement, it was really a team thing. Plus Hermione had like McGonagall and on them on her side. And Hermione wasn't mad at Harry.

Anything that has to do with Crookshanks isn't Harry's fight, it's Ron and Hermione's. When he said that to her he was trying to show her how she was wrong sort of like constructive critisims. And I think she got mad at him because she knew he was right and she felt sorry that she was wrong.

With the Ron fight it's the same as the last one. It's was Harry and Ron's fight and Harry knew that Hermione was really trying to help. So her intentions were good and that moment when he was mad at her was really to breif to be a fight. Plus she wasn't mad back at him.

When Harry gets mad about the "misunderstood" thing I think he only got mad because he knew she was right. And plus he had a lot of built up frustration. And Hermione's intentions were good, like the way they get mad a Hagrid for acting the way he did with the whole half-giant thing.

With the dream and the Occlumency lessons Hermione was trying to give him advise. And I also think that Harry sort of felt she was right. And Sirius, Lupin, and a TON of other people told Harry the exact same things she did. Plus most of the time Harry and Hermione just ignored the dissagrement and only when Hermione brought it up did Harry get mad at her. Plus Harry had a lot of anger that he needed to vent. And Hermione wasn't really mad at him because she understood why he wouldn't go back, she just extremely dissapproved.

Most of these are really one sided things. I mean one person was mad at the other but the other one new they were right so they weren't really mad and just tollerated the others relluctance until they saw the error of their ways.

I mean when Harry and Ron fought they were REALLY mad at each other, it was one on one and they weren't speaking and the whole 9 yards. Of course Ron was really jelous but jelousy is normally delt with with anger. And when Ron and Hermione fought about Crookshanks it was also very hard core and all that.

Now these are really quick versions but if you don't see what I'm getting at just say so and I'll explain it better. But what I think we might have is a difference of opinion or misunderstandment. I just think we have different thoughts on what counts as a real fight, serious or not. I mean to me none of these are fights and even if they were they would just be meaningless bickers.
