hope you're not too fed up with these HBP theories, but..:

OOTP, chapter 37. haryy was just ported to dumby's office and waits there for Dumby.
one of the wizards in the portraits tells him dumby thinkd highly of him, and respects him.
the above wizard is described as a red-nosed wizard. then there is a description of him sitting down:

"He settled himself on the throne-like chair on which he had been painted and smiled benignly upon Harry."

throne is a king's chair. or a prince's.

think about it. all the portraits of former Hogwarts headmasters are in that office. then the 4 (or 3) founders of hogwarts should be there too.........

maybe it's.... GODRIC GRYFFINDOR!
this red-nosed wizard seems to really like harry.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An odd feeling rose in Harry -- an emotion quite differnt from the anger and greif that had filled him since Sirius's death. It was a few moments before he realised that he was feeling sorry for Luna.
"How come people hide your stuff?" he asked her, frowning.
"Oh...well..." She shrugged. "I think they think I'm a bit odd, you know. Some people call me 'Loony' Lovegood actually."
Harry looked at her and the new feeling of pity intensified rather painfully.
"That's no reason for them to take your things," he said flatly. "D'you want help finding them?"

Forgive the pointless question, but what makes you so sure Gryffindor is a king or prince?
