J.K. Rowling said that there was something important in the chapter in OotP called 'Careers Advice'. She said it has to do with something in book 6. I have no idea what it could be. I read the chapter a while ago and didn't find anything important in it. Unless it has to do with Harry wanting to become an auror. But I'm not really sure.

Hermione, are you that god damned impatient? Doesn't anybody have an idea? Was that what you wrote between TEN TO TWENTY FREAKING MINUTES AFTER YOU POSTED!
If you aren't that bright enough to grasp the importance of the chapter, go ahead and ask. But this is NOT a chat room! People won't always be here to answer you as soon as you post. Yelling at people to tell you what you are too dumb to grasp ten minutes after you ask the question shows your current maturity level prety well I think.
Now to answer your question, this is overly discussed. Why? Because everyone is thinking of ways for McGonagle to help him become an Auror, like she swore to do. It isn't overly discussed trying to figure out what is so important in the chapter. It's plain as freaking day what the importance is and everyone knows it. I always got the idea that you are either very young, or not so bright. But my 10 year old cousin who loves the books, well she has talked to me with better ideas of what could happen. I'm not thinking your young now. Now I have a question, just how stupid are you? I will admit I haven't read all of your posts. Mostly because I have no interest in bothering. But what I have read from you, not much of it has some sense of intelegence anyware in your posts! You don't have to be a rocket scientist to post here, but damn it, I think I rather sit down and have a conversation with Locke or Patricia (was that her name, LMM, the one who wanted to marry me who we all made fics about out wedding) then talk to you? I had no intention of being rude and pointing out your stupidity, which doesn't need to be pointed out mind you, but to be so damned rude to yell at people for not answering you right away is just so.... Oh man you get on my freaking nerves!
Oh HELLO! - does someone need to borrow my annoybie rifle Chris?
Its Locked, cocked and most ready to unload.
Hermione - maybe people didnt respond to this thread, simply because they didnt want to. As Chris has said, in a very colourful way (and I LIKE it!) - this topic has been discussed many many times and with no new information the question/answer can simply NOT be elaborated on.
BUT - just to point out something to make you feel really inadequate and stupid - you answered your own question in your first post.
As for replying to your own thread, begging for an answer, all I can say is "PATHETIC". The only reason you did that was to bump your thread up hoping that someone would read it. Silly attempt for attention - although that seems to be the trend here lately.
If people dont respond to your thread - it most likely means that they DONT CARE and as for one person responding.... wow - you sure got a brainwave of an answer there! I hope it solved your mystery.
A bit of advice - dont post for the sake of having your own thread. It eventually leads to people really disliking you and not bothering to take into account anything that you say as valuable input!
Chris - Aim and Fire!

I thought that it was just the joke that Ron said about "we've got as much chance of winning the quidditch cup as my dads got of becoming the Minister of Magic."

"You too are about to learn what happens to wrongdoing at my school."
Filch cracked his whip threatingly.
"You know what? said Fred. "I dont think we are. George, I think we've outgrown
full-time education."
"Yeah, I've been feeling that way myself," said George lightly.
"Time to test our talents in the real world, d'you reckon?" asked Fred.
"Definitely," said George.
And before Umbridge could say a word, they raised their wands and said together,
"Accio Brooms!"...
"Give her hell from us, Peeves!"
"I didn't know you could read."

Well, I think a lot of people thought that he was going to be MoM. But JK said on her site that he won't be the MoM. I liked the idea so that is dissapointing. But I thought the McGonagle thing would be a bit more obvious as something important happening, since he probably won't get the grades he needs in order to become an auror.
I heard a rumour that Snape was going to bribe her for certain "favours" to get Harry into the potions class. She did say she'd so ANYTHING to help him become an auror.

and in the books they're not as old as they are in the movies!
but my point here is - your mind took that to wherever it saw fit, so dont blame me for your filthy thinkings! I just planted the seed - you let it grow!
