Have you been reading the threads on who everyone thinks is the HBP? Probably not - alot of people think he's the Prince. It depends on what your take on "Half-Blood" is. Because Hagrid is not only a Half Blood Wizard, he's a Half-Breed being that he's half giant.
Its possible, but I dont think its Hagrid.
As for it being someone from CoS - that is incorrect. JKR has only mentioned that there is some sort of connection, simply because she was going to originally call CoS - HBP, but changed her mind because it really didnt work, as well as there being HINTS in CoS that foreshadow events in HBP - but that can be said for every book in the series.

First of all, please invest in a spelling dictionary. Thank you. Second, your idea about Hagrid being the HBP is not new to anyone around here. Trust me, very few newbies show up with original ideas around here. If there is a theory about something, anything it has most likely been discussed to death around here. I think we have covered all a the bases on who the HPB might be.

Even if you are only 11 (which I doubt) you should know how to spell simple words. This is not a chat room! You have the time to make your posts intelligent and coherent.

I love a good annoybie bashing! Although I am somewhat surprised that I didnt actually start this one! lol
I do have to agree with everyone else that's posted though, even though you say you are only 11, there's no excuse for the way you've been typing. If you've read the Newcomers post and understand it, you'd know why we are jumping on you from the start. I'm not sure if this is in that post - but another tip - DO NOT post in the middle of threads! you either reply to the last message or the original post!

Okay, now that the bashing ended lol.
I actually like the idea of it being Hagrid. I had a long conversation about it with someone off of the board. He is someone who is important, yet over looked. For one, if Hagrid wasn't there, how much of any particular book in the series would be changed? As obviously pointed out he is half blooded, and a half breed. And as said before on other threads, prince may not neccecerily mean royalty. He could just very well be a leader of sorts to a group of people in the book. Maybe he gets the giants back on Dumbledore's side. It would make perfect sense.

Ty - on a scale of 1-10.... I'd have to say 15!! lol
Chris - I have to disagree, I dont like Hagrid. I dont know why, but he always seems to be making so many mistakes and being bailed out by Dumbledore all the time. I dont like him having such an important role in the books.

Locke - if I told you how much I liked that, it would make some people wonder! Lets just say - I like it much more than regular annoybie bashing, as I get more satisfaction out of bashing someone who gives me a challenging argument that I can shred to bits!!

On a scale of 1-10... It's like my car on the highway. The speedomiter goes past the highest number. I just like watching the two of you go at it! Bashing is fun, but I enjoy the watching also!

Oh Chris, you would be the type to enjoy watching two people go at it! lol
But you are completely correct, the enjoyment factor is OFF THE CHARTS! Locke is like a little pebble in my shoe, bloody annoying, but I get satisfaction out of knowing that I'm stepping on it all the time!

hey todd- id just like to say that i hate 'newbie bashing' its a waste of time and its rude to the new person. and it doesnt matter if your 11 or 11million- its only a board.

An odd feeling rose in Harry -- an emotion quite differnt from the anger and greif that had filled him since Sirius's death. It was a few moments before he realised that he was feeling sorry for Luna.
"How come people hide your stuff?" he asked her, frowning.
"Oh...well..." She shrugged. "I think they think I'm a bit odd, you know. Some people call me 'Loony' Lovegood actually."
Harry looked at her and the new feeling of pity intensified rather painfully.
"That's no reason for them to take your things," he said flatly. "D'you want help finding them?"

Listen here Luna - of you'd paid attention to the posts that this derived from, not just jumping in on the end of the conversation, you'd understand why Todd got bashed. He admitted himself that he deserved it. and just to make it perfectly clear to you - its not 'newbie' bashing, you dont get bashed for being new, you get bashed for being an idiot (aka ANNOYBIE), qualities which Todd had displayed earlier on in the piece. He has apologised and its all over.

Gryffindor! Fun-loving and ballsy down to the last detail, you follow rules when it's convenient for you and never turn down an opportunity to par-tay. You're loud, mischievous, and a little naive at times, but never let your awesome self-confidence waver. Like Slytherin, you too appreciate the finer things in life...just in a very...different way.

I care! and so do a fair few other members. Everyone worked hard to maintain this board and keep it to a great standard - something we're still trying to uphold here even though all the 'regulars' have moved to a better place.
you said "its just a board" - well yes it is, but its a board where we have made alot of friends and had massive amounts of discussion about alot of things and if you cant respect that when you come here, you're best off finding somewhere that does tolerate that kind of crap.

Sry Im replying to this late...shredding my arguments to bit is an innacurate statement...they are my arguments nonetheless...they are not bits to me. You are just reaffirming your own opinions, which is good. It is good to "have an opinion". I prefer talking to someone who knows what there talking about then someone babbling on about things they have "heard"...or when they say "i donno..."
Again I apoligize to repsonding to this late...I forgot I posted on this thread. Funny, if I rated how much satisfaction I get out of you bashing me, I think some people would get scared...
Not satisfaction in a sick twisted way...kinda like how you bug your older sister/brother...till they get angry...just what you want.

Yes, I must admit, I did get scared when you said that you got satisfaction out of me bashing you.... you like that sort of thing eh? a little bit of Domination never hurt anyone... lmao
As for intelligent conversation (this is overlapping the other thread I know), I (sadly) do have to agree with you. Its no fun arguing with someone who just uses insults or completely misses the point of the argument. Which is what makes bashing you incredibly satisfying. Something Alana will come to enjoy just as much, in time.

I forgot to mention the bit about shredding your arguments to bits.
By that - I meant that I could tear it apart bit by bit and use it in my attack when replying. That was quite entertaining with your arguments, because as I did eventually point out, you contradicted yourself something chronic on one point! and thats where I took you down!

Oh that was indeed a poor cop out!
Sure one is entitled to allow their opinions to shape and grow, but yours came tumbling down like a bag of crap on a steep incline! It wasnt, as you say "over weeks" - this was within three days. So that excuse isnt going to work this time!

Back on topic but with a slight varitation: the prince part of Hagrid is on his Giant side, not his wizard side. I read this on another board earlier and thought it was a really good idea.

Well, Hagrid would be the HALFBLOOD Prince (of the giants) but that would also make Gwarp a giant prince as well. See the post I made in the "anything else HP" section on the new forum. It's not my theory, I'm just spreading the idea that I found on a different HP related board becaue it makes sense and it's one that I like. It would mean that Hagrid would have an influence over the giants to help bring them over to Dumbledore's side.

Hey, I think Mark Evens is the Half Blood Prince. Just Think, What is Lilly Potters Madin Name? EVENS. and JKR only said Harry's parents were dead she never said anything about cousins and stuff, So Mark Evens could very well be the Half Bllod Prince, and is a squib or something.
Scoring disabled. You must be logged in to score posts.
And it's also been established that there is no connection whatsoever between Mark Evans and Lily Evans Potter, by JKR herself. Just a common last name, such as Smith. I bet she is sorry she did that, really.
At least, that's what I have read. Just because I read that on the net does not make it true.
