Mugglenet was voted fan site of the month on JKR's website, you can see below what she wrote:

It's high time I paid homage to the mighty MuggleNet. Where to start? I love the design, (I currently favour the 'Dementor' layout) the polls, (I actually voted in the 'Who's the Half-Blood Prince?' one), the pretty-much-exhaustive information on all books and films, the wonderful editorials, (more insight there than in several companion volumes I shall not name), 101 Ways to Annoy Voldemort, (made me laugh out loud), the Wall of Shame, (nearly as funny as some of the stuff I get) ...pretty much everything. Webmaster Emerson, Jamie, Eric, Damon, Ben, Matthew, Rachel, Jamyz and Sharon, I salute you.

My question is - did anyone actually see the Poll that she's referring to? Although we will never know who she voted for, it may narrow down the list and give us an indication of who it could be! She obviously voted for the right one!!

LMM, this could indeed be useful info. I think Mugglenet has a "past polls" section. Maybe I'll check it out! Although, Mugglenet ususlly has an answer of something like "none of the above." But even, so we could narrow the playing field down a bit! Does anyone know if she has answered the poll on her own website? I can't get to it because my comupter is screwed up at the moment and WebTv gives the "text only" version.

These were the choices.Tom Riddle

Godric Gryffindor

Lupin

Snape

Dean Thomas

Hagrid

A character we have not been introduced to yet.

I have no idea.

So I guess she voted for 6 out of 8 choices. We know it's not TR, and I think it is safe t say she would not choose "I have no idea!"

It could also be the "someone else" or "a new character we haven't met yet" answers. So, I don't think that this helps in narrowing it down a great deal if at all.

Yesterday when I checked the past polls section, that one wasnt there! Which is why I posted this thread in the first place.

but now that its there, I guess it doesn't really narrow down the possibilities - Darn Mugglenet for making the poll so open!!

Im also not impressed with the voters on JKR's website for voting so much on that "Howler" question!!

I think everyone will agree that we need to have another clue/sliver of information to get us all hyped again! lol

How often does she update her site? It's been a while since that poll went up I'm surprised that she hasn't come out with an answer yet.

she updates it once a month at the very least - because the 'Wizard of the Month' changes each month, but it took her ages to answer the Mark Evans question. I hope she does soon though!
