when harry's wand first found him, olivander explained how odd it was that that particular wand had chosed harry when it's brother gave him that scare. but he also said that they should expect great things from harry because "after all, he-who-must-not-be-named did great things. terrible! yes, but great." just because voldemort's great powers were used for evil, doesn't mean that gryffindor can't be fawkes. i think maybe the wand chooses the wizard based on their ability. it's up to the wizard to choose how they use that ability, and that is something the wand cannot predict or control. any thoughts? |
