"well-Ijust heard Snape sayin' Dumbledore took too much fer granted an' maybe he-Snape- didn' wan' ter do it anymore-"
"-anyway, Dumbledore told him flat out he'd agreed ter do it an' that was all there was to it."
Does JKR give us a clue here that Dumbledore knew of the Unbreakable Vow? Could Snape be complaining to Dumbledore that he can't go through with the vow to help Draco ( he won't be able to kill Dumbledore).Snape tells Draco's mother that he thinks Voldemort suspects that it will be he who must perform the killing curse, as Draco is not up to the task. If Dumbledore knew that he must be killed by Snape to continue his "cover" with the Deatheaters, he used the time left to show Harry how Voldermort was vulnerable and provide all the clues he could. If so, then his pleading with Snape on the tower was please go through with it, not please don't kill me. |
