Just some thoughts on book 7 and where the journey will take Harry. I am not sure how he could join the Aurors but Harry has been one that has been known to throw the rules out the window and still able to get his own way.

"It was odd, really, seeing that it had been a Death Eater in disguise who had first told Harry he would make a good Auror, but somehow the idea had taken hold of him, he couldn't really think of anything else he would like to be. Moreover, it had seemed the right destiny for him since he had heard the prophecy a few weeks ago...Neither can live while the other survives...Wouldn't be be living up to the prophecy, and giving himself the best chance of survival, if he joined those highly trained wizards whose job it was to find and kill Voldemort (104)."

I think someone was on to a theory when they stated that book 7 might not take place within the 1997-98 school year but might be years after the fact. It is June 1996 when Harry is thinking the below thoughts and 10 years out would put the storyline in 2006.

"His hand closed automatically around the fake Horcrux, but in spite of everything, in spite of the dark and twisting path he saw stretching ahead of himself, in spite of the final meeting with Voldemort he knew must come, whether in a month, in a year, or in ten, he felt his heart lift at the thought that there was still one last golden day of peace left to enjoy with Ron and Hermione (652)."

you would think that wouldn't u. Then again J.K. Isn't the one to take the "normal path" I also think that if Harry did Join the aurors that he wouldn't be there for long because they would get so caught up in protecting him and wouldn't let him do anything. We all know Harry isn't for that so I think enevetually he'll end up on his own or in a group he can control (being Ron and Hermoine)...

Harry won't be an Auror. He will beyond that, I think. Plus he's broken too many rules. I can see Ginny being an Auror, though, and Harry being a lone soul fight for goodness. Then eventually he will be Headmaster of Hogwarts. What do you think?

Oh, i love Sandunes theorys about Ginny becoming an auror and Harry becoming Headmaster. That is just too perfect. I don't think that the next book will be years in the future because JKR said that she was only writing seven books-one for each of Harrys seven years at Hogwarts, so I think that means that Harry will go to the dursleys, and then Bill and Fleurs wedding, and then he might take a quick stop at Hogwarts before becoming a.k.a. The Horcrux Hunter. I don't think it will be years in the future. That would suck. I think JKR will say what career Harry will have (because he is gonna live to have one) in the last chapter of the last book, which is gonna be like a what happens after chapter. OMG!!! Why does the next book have to come out in two years when I think I might die if i dont find out what happens next.

Ye i think jk has said there will b a bit at the end sayin what everyone will b doin in the future.Ginny an arouor sounds great n shes definately talented enough to be but harry the headmaster i nt so sure n what did his parents do 4 a living?have we ever been told that?
